Days like yesterday remind me of why Alton Towers is so magical 🥰🏰
——
It’s not just the rides, mazes or even the heritage individually that bring the park together - it’s the people that make the magic come to life. 🪄✨
All it would take it one unhappy guest or staff member and it would bring the mood down - instead every single person I encountered yesterday was so incredibly friendly. It really does make the biggest impact. (I think I received more happy birthdays yesterday than I did my actual birthday 😂).
The combination of the above elements above were so perfect yesterday that it was everything a theme park is meant to be: escapism.
——
The @attractionsource event yesterday was one of the best events I’ve done. And I personally think it’s very good value for money considering how expensive everything has become lately!
From the behind the scenes on the mazes, to actually running them to then having the talk - it was all worth every penny.
——
Thank you so much to @theme_park_eye for letting me tag along. I’ll be honest I had 0 plans for my birthday weekend until about 1-2 weeks ago so thank you for “making me” (slightly exaggerated) join. Was lovely to spend the day with @adambysouth @jammy_jaunts @davidsthemeparkadventures @samcostelloo @thrillriders @themiracledetectiveagency (and sorry to those whose instagrams I don’t know 😅) - been a long time since I’ve had a day so fun at Towers and really missed it!
——
Also would like to apologise to anyone on the Hex team for my “mistake” of giving everyone glow sticks 😂 At least it was fun!
Proof that we’re an easy species to please - you can make friends with anyone if you have enough glow sticks! 😎

Riding thrill rides with thrill riders🎢🇩🇪

Hansa park was amazing, Karnan and Flucht Von Novgorod were two of the scariest and most creative rollercoasters I’ve ever ridden!👌

We also rode a pedal powered rollercoaster made out of scrap metal.

THIS WAS MY TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YET!! 😳

Join me as I head back to @flamingolandresort with one objective - ride HERO (the park's notoriously unconfortable flying coaster) as many times as I can in one day! 👀

But... there's one catch, I have to do it whilst wearing a Superman costume 😉

How many rides will I manage? Will the suit become unbearable? and ultimately, will this challenge prove too much?! 😬

🎓 A pleasure to attend and support #VARM 8 graduate at Alton Towers Resort. I created a set of trophies for each student to remember their graduation day and take home, proudly supporting George Byron and the other talented graduates for this occasion!

As a recently graduated graphic designer and a prop maker working within the UK attractions industry, this opportunity to play a small support in this graduation, helping Nathan Moran and the team was a joy. A gem of a day, within an ever changing time in the attractions industry ✨ #graduation26 #IAAPA

What rollercoasters have come out of your mouth?

Also, apologies for the absolutely hideous angle from @thrillriders 😅 Didn’t realise he caught my bad side
