In this new spot from BODEGA Director Adam Reid’s ongoing campaign for Decision 2024, MSNBC wanted Steve Kornacki’s voice and authenticity front and center. “These are Steve’s words,” said Reid, “Before production, I sat with Steve for a recorded interview and we talked about what election nights feel like for him. Steve has a way with numbers AND words. The challenge for us, and joy, was capturing images that were just as honest and immersive as what he was saying.” The resulting spot titled “Family Portrait” takes us inside the newsroom for this pivotal moment in American politics with Steve’s unique perspective and driven by a soulful Edit from Chris Carson at @nledit.

I love Steve Kornacki and directing this ongoing campaign has been a dream project for me. MSNBC wanted authenticity front and center. For this spot titled “Routine” I conducted an intimate interview with @steve01450 to explore what an ordinary day in his mind looks and feels like. The result is this spot that shines with Steve’s passion, authenticity and brainy charm. Immersive cinematic lensing by @thejoegabriel, soulful edit by @throcke, and true partners at @nbcnews and @bodegastudios made this magic possible. Look for one more spot in this series as we get closer to Decision 2024!#stevekornacki #msnbc #election2024 #nbcnews #polls #director #khakipantsforever

Shot over 2 days in late February… just 2 weeks after Jolie closed. This film means so much so many. The endless crossovers between restaurant life and film life on full display…

About the film: The real Jolie was a bistro and neighborhood institution for eighteen years. When I moved in next door to Jolie, the restaurant flooded my life with flavor. When the owner, and now my dear friend, told me that Jolie would be closing, my heart broke with him. The result of that experience, based on my real last night in the bistro, became the film.

coming soon ❤️
