Your countless tries of trying to fall asleep fade into oblivion as your eyes refuse to close. The day breaks in and you pray for a new start, yet your sleepless night still haunts you that you don’t need caffeine to keep you up. You try to drown it all away, but drugs were surely never the solution; your past mistakes stand at the forefront of your messed-up brain once again. The process repeats; you lay your head on the pillow but sleep never seems to visit your blood-shot eyes; your brain doesn’t spare itself a few moments of peace as it continuously wrecks your body alive; your tears drench your once dry pillowcase as you once again wonder what keeps you up at night.

“What Keeps You Up at Night”, a collaboration poem, is now up and running on our website.

“his tenacity was to be put on a pedestal,
i felt my body gravitating downwards,
and i let myself loose,
like standing in the middle of the sea,
and anticipating the knackering waves,
nobody adulated diving as much as him after all,
he caught my body in all his magnetic glory,
as he uncovered my deepest desires to himself, the blue moon, the deafening sea and everything in between...”

“Hang from far and wide
As I walk through the misty souk
That seems endless

In its twisting alleys
Where ornate jewels hang
And vibrant spices rest—

Amidst the loud barter....”

We tend to lose so many people in our journey throughout life. Whether these people chose to leave because they no longer find solace in our presence like we do in theirs, whether they leave because they had no choice but to do so, or whether it was just the effect of the inevitable end that is bound to separate us, we heal just to hurt all over again, we learn to let go after we finally found a chance to hold on to someone. However, don’t you worry, because if you truly loved them, and they truly loved you, if the chances just weren’t in our favor at that time, they will be at some other, and you’ll get to meet your loved ones again right on the other side.

“The Other Side” is now up and running on our website.
