🎥 Ronita Rambo, 2026 (15 minutes): At a small-town diner in rural Missouri, a tough-talking waitress finds the courage to ask a pair of gay teens for help texting her new crush.

🎥 Throuple, 2025 (90 minutes): A lonely gay singer-songwriter learns how to ask for what he wants in life through a newfound romance with an honest and communicative married couple. All the while, he fears losing his best friend to her girlfriend.

As we continue to tabulate the Audience Choice ballots, compile the comments and make the laurels, we look at our five full length films from OutReels Cincinnati 2025. We strive to show many sides of our community…. From a coming of age tale, to a lesbian documentary to a contemporary trans comedy to an “inspired by true events” period piece to a modern day messy relationship. We are excited to report that on the Audience Choice Award ballots, we ask festival goers to rank the films from 1 to 5. 1 being “Awful” and 5 being “Outstanding”. We are very pleased and thrilled to announce that all five film scored higher than a 4.0!

🇫🇷 Ce film indépendant profond et sensible dissèque les relations gays en en montrant la complexité. Tomber amoureux n'est pas simple. Être en couple et faire perdurer la flamme non plus. Un jeune artiste gay un peu auto-centré et qui n'a jamais connu l'amour tombe sous le charme d'un couple aimant qui vient de décider de tenter une relation ouverte. Très vite, les questions et les doutes fusent. Très belle écriture, avec des personnages nuancés, très belle interprétation (aussi bien chez les trois premiers rôles masculins que les personnages secondaires - dont un adorable couple lesbien) et un ensemble qui touche et fait réfléchir. La BO est aussi très cool.

🌍 This deep and sensitive independent film dissects gay relationships, showing their complexity. Falling in love isn't easy. Neither is being in a relationship and keeping the flame alive. A young, self-centered gay artist who has never known love falls under the spell of a loving couple who have just decided to try an open relationship. Questions and doubts soon arise. Beautifully written, with nuanced characters and fine acting (by the three male leads as well as the secondary characters - including a lovely lesbian couple), this is a touching and thought-provoking whole. Soundtrack is also super cool
