Yesterday I played our local tournament in Midland, the Oilfield Blowout. I played well overall, especially at Midland College. We don't talk about Windlands 🙈 drives were working, upshots were working, and the putts were going in. Now let's carry this momentum going over to the next Wildflower tournament this week 🥏

I finally got back to tournament play over the weekend, after eight months away. It took a while to shake off the nerves, but I managed to snag 3rd place in MA4 with an 856 event rating. I also won a long drive competition afterward. Galesburg, IL, is home to a couple of amazing courses - a fine place to dip my feet back into competitive play.

Next up: Running With The Devil, Bettendorf, IA.

I tied fourth in FPO at the Wild Doe Open, the last MWS event of the year 🎃 I had two very fun cards and it was a beautiful October day. I'm super glad I came out and was able to enjoy a couple days with some of my greatest friends. I had two big opposites in terms of my rounds: one that was absolute garbage and I completely lost my confidence after a streak of awful early tree kicks, and one where everything clicked and I knew what I was capable of even when I made mistakes.

This year it seems I'm unable to put two good rounds together at a C-Tier. I am absolutely a better golfer than that and it's very frustrating that I just can't seem to do it. I definitely need to just breathe and take a little break from competition, so the offseason is coming at a good time after a couple fun events. Lots and lots and lots of backhand driving & mental work ahead.

I can't thank @teamtaylornikki (and all the Taylors) enough for having Pat & I over and letting us play your cool course and annoy your cat & children! And thank you to Pat for always believing in me when I don't have an ounce of belief in myself.

With this last event, I finished first in FPO points for the Michigan Women's Series, but I'll make a bigger post for that later ✨

We're back from the @wildflowerdiscgolftour summer break 🌻

The Sunflower Showcase was today and my play was not the best. I'm still in that slump from July and I can't seem to get out of it. Round 1, my drives were terrible, but my putting was decent. Round 2 my drives were locked in, but I missed way too many birdie putts. There were also some really dumb decisions made on hole 1 that caused my unnecessary extra strokes 😒

We have 2 more events this season and I'm going to try my hardest to win the season points in FA2. I am so close 🤏 but this disc golf slump has got to end STAT

PDGA Professional World Championships 🛞

I've been looking forward to this for well over a year and it's already over. It lived up to the expectations and I'm so happy I got the chance to play. It was an amazing week overall and I finished healthy with only a pulled muscle in my hip so I'll take it, lol.

I played Toboggan decently for the amount of OB out there but Black Locust ate me alive and it was very rough. It sucks because I played the course well in practice & at DGLO and I love the woods, but a combo of nerves, trees, and OB stacked on strokes easily. My nerves were always bad on the first 3-5 holes and I've been struggling with consistent timing all year. I know what I need to work on and I can only do my best in that moment so I won't linger on it.

I can't thank all my family, friends, supporters, and sponsors enough! It was truly a week of incredible memories and I will cherish it forever.

Detroit '26 Pro Worlds starts tomorrow! 🛞

This is my first professional world championship and I played my first ever sanctioned tournament on the Black Locust courses so it's insanely cool to be playing a Major here six years later.

I'm 11th from the bottom in the field of 92 (in terms of rating) and I know I don't stand a chance of making the cut but I'm still trying with everything I have. I'm geniunely playing for par on almost every single hole of the event and just sticking to my strengths. I don't have distance, but I have focus and my putting. I don't feel an ounce of pressure and I'm simply looking forward to enjoying this experience and trying my best.

🥈 2nd in FPO at the Queen's Ransom - my fourth second place at a MWS event this year 😂 I'm really good at second, lol

I had a ton of fun with my cards & appreciated the cooler weather at Brewer for an August tournament! My first round was super lackluster and I had a lot of doubts in my head for absolutely no reason. Still had some good shots & putts but just a lot of fluff.

Second round was way more confident. I was throwing muuuuuuch cleaner & made a lot of good putts. I only missed three C1 putts all day so I'll take it for having an off morning! Taking that second round energy into Pro Worlds. And congrats to Ember for a very solid tournament and getting the win!

14th (out of 60) in MA3 at DGLO

Overall, it was a good learning weekend, I played slightly above my rating, and I was one stroke out of the top ten (booooo) so for my first event in a mixed division and an A-Tier, I'll take it.

First round was a little all over the place. Drives were hit or miss & long putts weren't dropping. Downhill shots were super uncommitted and led to extra strokes. It was also extra hot & sunny and the tireds hit super hard on the back. I'm definitely not used to late afternoon tournament rounds 😬

Second round started a little weird but I recovered very well in the back nine. Putting felt so much better and I made some great saves with that. Backhands were very confident in the back nine too.

Third round was the most nervous I've been in a while. The pressure of playing Blue shorts (a birdie or die course) and wanting to finish top ten got to me and my backhand fell apart. I made a lot of good putts but still missed some important birdies from short C2. I never gave up though. Disappointing end for sure but it could've been worse and it's a good reminder before Pro Worlds (where I'll be nervous af) that I need to continue to push forward especially when my anxiety is terrible.

Putting was definitely the best part of my game and I only missed three circle one putts all weekend, but I only made two circle twos. I'm very dedicated to throwing & putting practice over the next three weeks. I won't get much better but I would love a little more consistency all around.

I have another MWS event next weekend at Brewer!

USWDGC is complete.

I drove all the way to Salt Lake City to compete in my 3rd major in a very competitive FA2 division. The scenery up here is absolutely gorgeous. Mountains, trees, green grass, and even some waterfalls 😍

My play this weekend was not that great. I kept making too many small mistakes every round and could not get anything going. Ended up finishing 16th out of 23, my worst USWDGC finish 😬 tomorrow I begin the drive home to play some more fantastic courses in Vegas, Flagstaff, and Roswell 🥏

Came in second at Hollywoodstock! 🥈 if I had a nickel for every time I played a Michigan Women's Series event, had a bad first round, shot the hot round of the tournament in the second round, tied for a playoff and then lost the playoff; I'd have two nickels (which isn't a lot but it's weird its happened twice). I'm so damn hungry for a win, y'all...

I'll sum it up with: very good putting until I needed a 25' putt to push the playoff 😤, bad throwing until I finally felt like I had some control of the disc again for the first time in a month and a half in the second round, and I let my emotions get the better of me for a second before successfully reigning them in. Gotta work on approaches & angle control.

Thank you so much to Above Par, Patti & everyone involved ☮️ I'm so glad the weather worked out for us and the event went so smooth. And congratulations to Ceci for taking down the win! It's always fun battling with you. And thank you to everyone who bought a disc!

Two weeks of practice & a disc golf vacation before a very busy August ☀️
