“Absolutely hilarious… and heartbreaking.”
“It was executed perfectly.”
“I saw it on Broadway and this was better.”
“Such an incredible and emotional experience.”
“I can’t wait to see it again.”

The audience is the final piece of the puzzle, so for each production’s final dress rehearsal at BPA, we have what we call a “preview night” crowd so the actors can get a sense of how to play and hold certain moments, or if any last minute adjustments need to be made to the performance.

Based on the reactions from last night’s rehearsal, we don’t anticipate any adjustments!

Thank you to everyone who shared their lobby thoughts last night. We look forward to welcoming many of you back to the Fun Home for a second viewing!

A very happy opening to the cast and crew of this magnificent production. “It’s something that everybody should see.”

We hope you’ll join us! ❤️

Fun Home runs October 2 - 25

I’m thrilled to share that “The Play That Goes Wrong” at @seattlerep has been nominated for NINE Gregory Awards!! Including Best Ensemble AND Best Play!! I’m very proud of this cast and crew and I’m honored to have played a small part in this process. I’m also very much looking forward to getting the band back together to do “Peter Pan Goes Wrong” at Seattle Rep (and at @portlandcenterstage next year). Much love to all of you and congratulations on your very well deserved nominations. #seattle #seattletheatre #theatre #gregoryawards @theatrepugetsound

Back home after four incredible weeks with this incredible bunch of people performing in a show that made an incredible impact on me as an artist.

Sometimes you get lucky enough to do something new that challenges you and you want to work harder to make sure you do true justice not just to the lines and the music and staging, but more importantly the message of the piece. I am confident we did that.

I hope I get to perform in this show again someday, and I would happily do it with any of the amazing people I shared the stage with, onstage and off. Thank you @mattyinthearts and @chattyalex for inviting me to play in this magnificent sandbox.

And just like that - my second trip to Gander has ended! I will never not be grateful for this show 💛💙 It brings light to the darkness and uplifts all who experience it. This production was no exception. The last 4 weeks with this group of people has been very special and I’m sad to see them end! Thank you @mattyinthearts and @greatlakescfa for having me! And thank you to this whole group for the way you have enriched my life and the world around us #stoptheworldtakeapicture

At some point maybe I’ll have more to say. For now, I’m going to sit with the sadness and gratitude. The biggest challenge of my artistic life, and one I’ll remember forever.

Michigan photo dump 💛💙

What a special show and an even more special group of artists and friends. So honored to have gotten to help produce Come From Away alongside @mattyinthearts and the incredible team at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts.

I love our annual little “theatre summer camp” so much. Already missing the people, the lake, and this beautiful corner of Michigan. ✈️🌊🎭

Until next summer! 💙💛

I was beyond grateful for the opportunity to photograph the understudy run of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat—Taproot Theatre’s #1 best-selling show! Congratulations to everyone involved! 🎉

But this one was especially meaningful to me. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture my incredibly talented daughter, @robynleofficial, in her professional mainstage debut. ❤️ As a photographer and a mom, getting to document this moment for her is something I’ll treasure forever.

Thank you, @taproottheatre, for having me, and thank you to the entire cast and crew for your incredible artistry and dedication. You created something truly special—a show that brought smiles to so many faces and reminded us to keep holding onto our dreams, even in the midst of so much brokenness in the world.
