Last weekend we were delighted to sponsor and take part in @thurrockpride 2026, a fantastic celebration of inclusion, visibility, and community spirit in the heart of Grays.

A huge well done to the organisers for delivering such a vibrant, joyful and meaningful event for the borough. At c2c, we’re committed to supporting the communities we serve and helping create inclusive spaces both on and off our network. We’re proud to have been part of this year’s celebration.

What a great day we had at #ThurrockPride. The weather was good, and the event was well paced, with us busy all day. It was great to network with @thurrockpride. From the Pre-Pride Brunch to the Pride After-Party, it was a fabulous day of celebration of all things queer in Thurrock and beyond. We were made very welcome. #LGBTQIA+ #LoveisLove #Pride #BarkingandDagenham

This Pride Month, we want to remind you that Thurrock CVS and the Beehive Resource Centre is for everyone! 🏳️‍🌈

We have been proud to support the @thurrocklgbtqnetwork from the get-go. Mark, our CEO, talks about our relationship with the Network and the work we have put into making The Beehive a safe space for everyone in our community. That is something we genuinely care about, not just in June, but all year round.

And if you are celebrating this weekend, Thurrock Pride is on this Saturday! Join the Pre-Pride Brunch at The Wharf in Grays from 11am to 12.30pm, or catch the parade departing The Wharf at 12.15pm. We hope to see you there! ⭐️

This rainbow disco ball window mural celebrates Pride in Chelmsford. It joins many other window murals painted across the city by local artists, in support of this joyful celebration of the freedom to be one’s own self.

My heart breaks when I peek into the comments sections of Pride-related posts this month, reminding us that not everyone finds themselves able to share the joy. Those who feel it necessary to say so in a hateful way create a cyclical reminder of why Pride Month remains so important.

Thank you to @johnlewis_chelmsford for wholeheartedly embracing this window mural concept and to @chelmsfordforyou for commissioning and encouraging me to paint.

Feel love 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎

Very excited for this weekend

Kicking off at the fabulous @brightonqueensarms ... hitting the stage at 11.30pm after the amazing @emmalindars and @flickthedragqueen

Then, on Saturday myself @mrjamescohen and @ccrow93 are back on the main stage at @thurrockpride 2026 ... I'm so excited to be back

Then Saturday night camp fun, maybe a few tequila rose as I'm back onstage at @theregencytavern

Hope to see lots of lovely faces along the way

@thurrockpride is this Saturday (13th of June) and we can't wait. It's going to be fabulous!!

Come and see the @thurrocklgbtqnetwork Pride Quilt in the @thameside_theatre Complex and talk to us about how it was made.

Don't forget the quilt is an ongoing artwork so get your thinking caps on for any ideas or designs you might want included.

☺️

See you there...

“In that way, WAY and Pride feel not so different – communities that found each other through hardship, and chose to walk forward together anyway.”

To mark this Pride month, we asked some of the fabulous volunteers who are members of our LGBTQIA+ Working Group to explain to us what Pride means to them, starting with our Chair Joanna Sedley-Burke.

Comment ‘pride’ to read Jo’s reflections in full…
