Thanks @laguna_beach_surf_club for putting on the board swap. Found new homes for a bunch of our boards. Thanks @surcoffee @lagunasurfandsport @lbhs.surf.team @thurstonsurfteam for the great turnout. Great vibes in the village.

My educated guess is that @surfrider volunteers will find a lot more #pandemictrash in 2020: #gloves, #masks, #wipes, #plasticties (used for fencing during lockdown) and many, many more #singleusedisposables #takeoutfood and #plasticbags from #grocerystores that won’t allow shoppers to #bringtheirownbag. Covid has unleashed a disposable free for all! We can do better. Join your local Surfrider’s clean up efforts and vow to refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible. #didyouforgetsomething #betterwayforward

Posted @withregram • @surfrider In 2019, Surfrider volunteers collected:

• 123,000 cigarette butts
• 243,000 small pieces of plastic & foam
• 13,940 plastic beverage bottles
• 20,923 plastic food wrappers
• 13,463 plastic straws

Do you recognize any of these items? You can cut single-use plastic out of your life, and make sure it doesn’t end up on the beach.

Join us, alongside our partners @reef and @clifbar. Become a part of the #BetterBeachAlliance and leave the beach better than you found it. (link in bio)

Our team may not always score first in points, but where we absolutely crush it, is in team spirit. There were way louder cheers for our 6th place finishers than any of the other teams first place winners...so proud! @tessy_booth @brookstreetsurfer @locky11
