if you’re planning on visiting Korea and you love the outdoors and adventures, then this post is for u!!!!! swipe for deets on the trails in seoraksan! and see below 👇🏽 for more info

🚌 getting there from Seoul
if you want to get to seoraksan from Seoul, you have to catch a intercity bus to Sokcho, which is the closest town to seoraksan! I used @naver_official to help me map a route, and I bought a bus ticket upon arrival to the station!

from Sokcho you can either catch the 7, or the 7-1 bus into the park, or opt for a taxi which is what I did since the bus does not start running until after sunrise! there’s a taxi stand outside the bus terminal!

🛏️ where I stayed
obviously this is so up to you!!! I was on a budget so I stayed at the @haru_guesthouse hostel which was right across the bus terminal! super convenient! but I know there are hotels closer to the park, if you’d rather do that.

🍁weather
if you’re looking to see fall foliage then come around the end of October / early November! I went towards the end of October, and just so happened to have perfect weather that day! i’ve heard it gets super windy at the park at times, and it’s common for rain storms to quickly pass over so plan accordingly

🏔️ more hiking ideas
ok actually these hikes above r a conglomeration of shorter day hikes but if you want to do a EPIC full day (talking like 13.8mi and 6,804ft of elevation gain😵‍💫, then dinosaur ridge is for you!!!) I unforch can’t give you specific tips on it bc I didn’t get the chance to do it, but next time I go to Korea you better believe imma do it!!!!🫡

🤠AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST
bruh!!! it’s FREE to enter the park which is incredible!

ok guys hands down my fav day in Korea was the day I spent exploring seoraksan national park!!! did my first sunrise solo hike and bruh would NOT have survived without my @blackdiamond headlamp bc it was pitch black and everything was spooky😭 but UGHH just look at those views!!!!!!
