We celebrated my father’s 91st birthday last week. Forgot to share it with the world but we sure had fun celebrating privately. Happy belated birthday to a wonderful father and grandfather

ATL didn’t disappoint. Enjoyed spending time with my sister @thyrsamgravely for the holiday. Art, music and fellowship….a few of the BEST life has to offer.

Yesterday, we gathered. Today, we act.✊🏽

The Pi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for our Shirley screening in partnership with the Atlanta Suburban Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated®. With nearly 150 engaged attendees, the energy in the room was undeniable—thoughtful, powerful, and necessary.

Special appreciation to our dynamic panelists—Mayor Jayden Williams (City of Stockbridge) and Dr. Crystal R. Sanders, Professor of African American Studies at Emory University—and to our esteemed moderator and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority sister, Lisa Rayam of WSB Radio, for guiding such a meaningful conversation. We left reminded of one simple truth: our voices matter, and our votes carry power.

And speaking of power—today is the first day of early voting in Georgia.➡️🗳️

We said it yesterday, and it bears repeating: vote as if your life depends on it… because it does.
Make a plan. Bring a friend. Honor the legacy. Shape the future.

🗳️‼️ You can find your early voting site or your assigned Election Day polling place by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State website.🗳️‼️

Just last month we ‘officially’ ended our Celebration of 35 Amazing Years of #AlphaExcellence with a BANG during Howard’s Homecoming! 💚🩷

Our bond is Unique, Rare and Oh So SPECIAL ✨ We’ve supported & loved each other through the highest of highs, and unthinkable lows.
Our strength is as hard as it comes ~ we are Diamonds after all ~ and we continue to Shine Brightly ever since we crossed those burning sands way back in the Spring of 1990.
We are 53 D. O. I. S. the Ivy Pledge Club of the Upper, Uppermost House of Alpha Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. ~ And we Baaad, And we Baaad, And we Baaad (in the best possible way) and Soooo Special! 🩷💚

Happy Wednesday!! Family first!! Shout to my cousin @carm_felton and her husband Robert who joined Robin and I at dinner this past Sunday in Atl. Back in the day she was one of the first to welcome me to LA and she was doing artist management with @kennylattimore among others and has always been a great support system. She also went to @howard1867 and is a @dstinc1913 with my sis Sheila and also knows @thyrsamgravely as well. God is good. #Family. Her husband Robert also happens to be from Norfolk, Va and Robin is from Portsmouth, Va so again another connect. 📸 by @decarlo006 ❤️🙏🏽💥🫶🏾🦾⚾️👊🏾 #AtlFamily #GoodTimes
