This bench wasn’t just a flip. It actually went with none of my existing decor BUT I inherited sentimental hoarding and my grandpa carried it through snow as a gift for my grandma. So the hoarding cancels out 😅

A gossip bench started as a place to sit, talk on the phone, connect. Look at the time stamp! March in the 1950’s 😍

But like most things that last long enough, it outlived its purpose because now we just gossip on the internet.

Its purpose became a witness to conversations, routines, seasons of life I’ll never fully know.

I didn’t hoard/restore it because I needed a bench. I restored it because some things are worth keeping, not for what they do, but for what they hold 💫🪑

“The work is finished
The end is written
I cannot keep it to myself
I got to live it”

Every Easter is an opportunity to reflect on the Cross and what Jesus did for us. Yet, seeing things through my daughter’s eyes this year was a reminder of the importance of living every day in response to His sacrifice. I don’t always get it right but I pray she’ll grow up with a deep knowledge of His love for her. If you’re reading this and don’t know Him yet, I pray that for you too.

Three sisters. One shop. A lot of opinions 🤪

Madenew Co. started as a hobby (inspired by our number 1 Treasure Queen, @monroeandgreyvintage) and evolved into a representation of our Creator’s handiwork breathing life and promising to make all things new.

A collection of things has become a collection of stories.

Old things becoming new again.

Pieces finding the right person.

Style that feels personal instead of mass-produced.

So here’s the leadership team, circa the 90’s:

👶 Founder & Chief Curator – professional treasure hunter since birth
👶 Director of Modern Finds – keeps us culturally relevant
👶 This is our Chief Wellness Officer & Associate
Treasure Huntress – a discovery savant and retail wellness leader

Thanks for being part of the treasure hunt 🤍
