📜 Entrusted with the Living Word: Ministry of Lectorate 📖

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." — Psalm 119:105

The Diocese of Cochin celebrates a beautiful milestone as four of our brothers were installed to the Ministry of Lectorate at St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Carmelgiri.

The Sacred Rite ✨

In these moments, you see the powerful ritual of the installation:
His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Antony Kattiparambil presents the Holy Bible to each brother. As they place their hands upon the Word of God, the Bishop commissions them: "Take this book of holy Scripture and be faithful in handing on the word of God, so that it may grow strong in the hearts of his people."

This signifies their official role to proclaim the Scriptures in the liturgical assembly and to educate the faithful in the faith.

Congratulations to our new Lectors:
✨ Br. Joseph Shadil Thareparambil
✨ Br. Ancel Martin Alapatt
✨ Br. Denal Joseph Kochuparambil
✨ Br. Tijo Jacob Tharamel

May they be transformed by the Word they proclaim and be authentic witnesses of the Gospel to the world.
