The thing about past selves, is that we can visit them whenever we’d like.

The start of the year is my season of uncertainty and what others perceive as turmoil. It’s the time of the year that I afford myself the luxury to slow down so I can take stock of where I am and where I want to be.

As I’ve been clearing out my phone storage, I’ve enjoyed coming across these snaps from when I was first starting out my journey with @ommeyalifestyle, when everything was still so sparkly and shiny and exciting. And then I ask myself how did I let myself get so jaded in less than 3 years…

So I’m gonna keep posting these oldies until I remember exactly how much sparkle life brings us just for opening our eyes each day.

2025 Part 3: While the highlights- both life and hair - were incredible (see my poor exhausted stylist in slide 2 here) this part of the year was 💯 2020-survive. Friends launched businesses, got married, threw Pride (and Pride-like) events and I stayed upright… mostly.🌈🫶🏾

2025 Part 2: Work, friends, friends, work… and helped a few people move this year too. Not pictured: the disappointing dates, at least two besties shouting at me about failed self-care attempts and sleepless nights that quarter 2 brought with it 👩🏽‍💻🌈😅

2025 part 1: Someone repeatedly told me it would be 2020-thrive and I immediately shut that bollocks down, but the first quarter almost had me convinced - Sun, fun and incredible friends will do that 😍🌈🫶🏾
