soooo many new faces around here I had to hop on to overshare and hard launch these new portraits of me done by @tiabustanoby and makeup by @luxbylily 🧡

some of you are lucky to meet me at this era because I think it’s my best, most fully formed me yet. things i’ve learned about myself in the last three decades:

• i’m a fiercely protective older sister type but thrive when I can just be a silly goofy guy
• I love the slow mundane moments in life. the slower I can take things the happier I am
• I will always stop to get the photo, don’t worry guys i’ll catch up with you
• I love hosting and feeding my humans in my home or just sharing a meal at a new restaurant in town. the conversation and presence makes my heart very full
• I will never say no to happy hour
• I love HARD. I care so deeply about the world and everyone around me and i’ll never apologize for that.
• I think i’m the funniest human out there so unfortunately, you will be subject to my one woman standup show a lot
• photography is the thing in my life that feels the most right

it has been a wild journey to get here and I forget that a lot of people dont know about all of my side quests!!

while I was fighting the universe pushing me into photography, I was…:
• a two time 2nd place latte art throw down champion
• have a masters of science in public health
• worked in CSA prevention programming and research
• have always been an artsy kid
• grew up in a multigenerational home speaking vietnamese and living my best immigrant kid life
• quoted for hating the orange man when promoting my mental health research ✌🏼

… and before you ask “wait so is your hair naturally curly?”

yes. unfortunately my family fell trap to western standards of beauty and so I straightened my hair for most of my life not knowing how to embrace my natural hair or care for it. but in 2022 I committed to the curly hair life and honestly don’t think I could EVER go back. I love my hair and all the things that make me unique.
