third MJLI event this year. 🥹❤️

first, the Michael movie screening.
then the rewatch, because apparently one watch wasn’t enough 😭
and now, Michael’s birthday.

what makes this even more special is knowing that MJLI has actually been around since the late ’90s. the community became especially active after Michael passed in 2009, when i was literally still in elementary school. 😭

i grew up loving Michael, but back then, going to Jakarta for an MJ event was obviously not happening. little me could only experience Michael through his music, videos, DVDs, magazines, and whatever i could find.

then the community went quiet for years.

and somehow, in 2026, Michael brought everyone back together again.

this time, i’m old enough to actually be there. ❤️

little me would probably be freaking out seeing this.

happy birthday, Michael. 🎂❤️
your music has been part of my life for as long as i can remember, and now it has brought me to a room full of people who love it too.

what a full-circle moment. 🥹

dan bertahun-tahun kemudian,
satu ruangan penuh orang malam ini
masih menjawab pertanyaan itu.

kami masih di sini.

masih datang untuk menonton kisah hidupnya.
masih tertawa di bagian yang sama.
masih diam di scene-scene tertentu.
masih merasakan sesuatu yang sulit dijelaskan
setiap namanya muncul di layar.

aneh ya,
gimana seseorang yang bahkan belum pernah benar-benar mengenal kita,
bisa tinggal begitu lama di hidup banyak orang.

dan malam ini gue sadar,
menjadi fans ternyata bukan cuma soal musik.

kadang itu tentang kenangan.
tentang masa kecil.
tentang lagu-lagu yang menemani versi diri kita yang dulu.
tentang merasa dipahami,
meski dunia sering terasa asing.

mungkin itu kenapa sampai sekarang Michael Jackson masih terasa dekat.

karena beberapa orang tidak hanya meninggalkan karya.

mereka meninggalkan kehadiran.

and after all these years,
people are still here.

sayang Michael banyak banyak❤️❤️❤️

What a day to remember! #Throwback to our first event, “Support Our Planet Earth with PURESIA and the Eco-Friendly Bottle Mission.” We teamed up with @bule_sampah and Waste4Change last week to tackle the topic of single-use plastics and make more conscious, sustainable choices in our daily lives ♻️🌏
