Our strength programming is one of our favorite aspects of the gym:

1) Start whenever in the cycle and just hop right in. You don’t have to wait weeks until a new cycle starts.
2) Same structure just different reps and variations. You’ll know where you’re at in the strength program, and you’ll build every week. No confusion, or randomness. Whether you want to follow percentages or how it feels it’s pretty easy to follow.
3) We properly allow to the system to recover. The first few weeks (after a test week) are light and allow the nervous system to recover and heal. This prevents injury!!
4) We test!!! After every cycle we see what we are made of, and how our hard work has paid off. How else would you know if you’re getting stronger if you don’t test it?
5) Our system encourages you to come because if you miss a week of that lift you’re skipping an important stimulus!

Why you need muscle for vitality and longevity:

1) After 35 years old (esp women) muscle is very important to maintain and build. As we age our bone density, hormonal symptoms, and spryness require muscle mass.
2) Muscle is the fastest metabolizing cell in the body. In other words the more muscle you have the more calories you burn just sitting on the couch. That’s right, it also means the more get to eat to sustain body weight.
3) Muscle is the protein of nutrition. Without it we are metabolically weaker. Our mitochondria don’t thrive as much and our capacity for life decreases with time.

BUT ITS A SKILL, ya?

Like anything, it takes time to learn, and you’ll need a teacher! We got you. Get started today on building and maintaining muscle!!!

Have you been working to get your double ends, but you’re scaling with single unders and doubling the reps?

For sure, the goal is to be able to jump and be agile, even when we’re 90 years old. But being able to do it then will require us to jump high and found off of the toes now.

Short fast, single unders serves a great purpose in agility and speed but if we’re working to jump higher we may be missing the mark to improve our double under.

Try scaling single unders by jumping higher and slower to improve your bounding.

Get toes to bar faster when you don’t cheat yourself the challenge scaling it with your knees. The biggest key to this is pushing that bar down in front of you!

Once you can get those toes about 3/4 of the way up we can talk about bending those knees at the top and kicking the bar! But until then keep those legs straight!

Not seeing the results you want?

Well rounded and VARIED. Not random though, just varied. Our program is intentionally BALANCED in the 10 general physical skills of fitness that CrossFit teaches in their philosophy.

Omit any one of this and we see a decrease in general preparedness for life, and longevity. You’ll likely love a few and hate a few and that is NORMAL. The ones we love we show up for, the ones we hate we must hold ourselves to doing even on hard days. This is was creates results and prepares you for LIFE.

Our warmups include 7-10 movement to improve mobility and flexibility.
Our strength improves strength, power, speed, coordination, accuracy and balance.
Our conditioning improves basically all of them!

Ready to see results and NEVER hit a plateau again?

It’s okay, we get it. As we get older and our bodies start to break down a bit more pain here and there is one thing, but injuries and pain and losing strength can we our detriment.

We are here for you.

One of our favorite things about what we do in the gym is WORK AROUND INJURY. Got a low back issue? Knee ligament tears? Chronic pain? We work around these limitations to show you how to build strength and keep fit despite the wears and tears of life.

Afraid of injuring yourself here? Well it is a possibility, but no more than getting hurt walking down the road, or picking up your groceries.
We have found those who BUILD and develop strength recover from the inevitable FASTER and rebound healthier.
We also focused FIRST on safety, THEN efficacy, and then efficiency. As you learn to build trust with your body we teach safety first.

Come try it out, first class is free. Link in bio!

Your First Mothers Day ❤️

Watching you step into being a mom with our little girl these last two months has been one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

No matter the fatigue or to dos, you somehow always get what needs to be done or show up in a way in a way that makes our house a home. You strive for what you believe so we can create the most amazing life we can for Tolvie and Malin.

You make our family better and I’m forever in debt.

Happy First Mothers Day @tiawright06
