🏊‍♀️💙 Making Waves for Inclusion! What a memorable day at the Tides of Joy All-Inclusive Swim Meet! From determination in the pool to smiles on the sidelines, swimmers of all abilities showed us what’s possible when everyone has the opportunity to participate, shine, and feel supported. As new partner of Chartway Credit Union’s Chartway Promise Foundation, Tide Swimming shares our commitment to creating moments of joy, hope, and smiles for children and families in our communities. Our Chartway team members were there to lend a helping hand, volunteering their time to support the athletes and help make the day special. Congratulations to all the swimmers, and thank you to the families, volunteers, partners, and supporters who made this event possible. I am extremely grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Penn State! I first want to give all the Glory to God for the countless blessings he has poured upon me throughout this process. To my parents, family, and friends who have supported me throughout the ups and downs of this sport, this opportunity would not have been possible without you. I also want to thank Coach Richard and Coach Danny who have pushed me throughout my journey, along with Coach Zmuda where it all started. With the long course season complete, so are the standings of the USA Swimming Virtual Club Championships. Among 41 clubs in Virginia Swimming, we are proud to be in the top 10! What a summer it was, and our Firefish rallied together to make it an excellent first season. The top 20 teams are listed here. Congrats to all these teams!

NEXT UP: Sea Gull, Sydney Whiteman! We are excited to announce that @sydney_w_311 from First Colonial High School will be joining the Salisbury University Women’s Swim team! A member of Tide Swimming @tidestagram Sydney specializes in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, and 100 Fly. She joins Salisbury as a VHSL Regional and State Champion, Senior Championships finalist, and multi-time relay champion, while also earning honors in both the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. “I chose Salisbury because of the culture, the people, the coaches, and my future field of study. From clinics to my visit, I could immediately feel how supportive and genuine the team is. Coach Nate, Keaton, and Chris made the process feel incredibly welcoming.” Sydney is most looking forward to building lifelong friendships and experiencing a new training environment.
