When I feel or think I’m getting too comfortable, I receive signs that remind me discomfort _is_ my ongoing state of comfort.

One of my favorite bowls. This one is about 35cm wide. Two glazes were used here, then it was fired in Cone 10 reduction. All work completed @still_life_studios 🙏🏼

Took a glass engraving workshop with my friend on Saturday! We sketched, etched, and buffed with instructor @parkerk.engraving.✨✍🏻

I used to enjoy sand blasting glass, but the reality of creating using this technique is that… you really need a garage. I was thrilled to find a craft class that gave me the tools to etch glass without the heavy machinery!

🏺🌟 For designs— I chose the Greek goddess Athena with her owl, of course. And Meagan chose to highlight her favorite book series with the quote: “You could rattle the stars.”

I find a lot of value in taking craft classes. It forces the perfectionist in me to just get it done! Instead of agonize over my creativity. Because art is art… perfection is nonexistent. 🙌🏼🎨

📍Everlasting Etches with @craft.pass at @tigercatstudios in Downtown LA followed by omnomnomming at @cpk afterwards.
