@tightline_jozi isn’t just an insane vibe to sit down at, the deli side means you can bring the whole experience home. You get straight-from-the-coast ocean cuts, prime dry-aged beef, prawns, all of it.
Call ahead, pull up to collect, or walk in and pick your cut. Peak restaurant quality, zero compromises, your couch. Simple. 🎣🥩

📍Tightline Restaurant, KZN

Exploring some of Ballito & KZN and, if I’m honest, there were quite a few disappointing moments where the only gluten-free option on offer was a salad. Fellow coeliacs will know that feeling all too well! 😅

Luckily, I found a gem at Tightline. This gorgeous seafood restaurant was able to accommodate me with some delicious gluten-free options.

For lunch, I tried the octopus carpaccio and calamari salad. Both dishes were fresh, light, and packed with flavour, making them perfect for a warm KZN afternoon. 🐙🥗

The restaurant also has a fantastic wine selection, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable lunch experience.

If you’re gluten-free and visiting KZN, @tightline_ is definitely worth adding to your list. 🌊🍷

2026 Winner / Middle East & Africa - Small Space

Congratulations to The Room (Umdloti, South Africa) by Tristan du Plessis Studio, winner of the Middle East & Africa - Small Space category.

“Elegant and experiential. The room design delivers a highly curated and intimate atmosphere,” said our 2026 Judge, Pinar Calimano (Senior Director, Interior Design, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts)

The Room is a unique dining concept by Tyler Loomes on the Durban North Coast; an intimate, music-led French modern bistro with distinct local flair, inspired by the 1970s recording studio. It is designed by Tristan du Plessis Studio, a hospitality and interior architecture studio specialising in hotels, restaurants and bars, the studio designs cinematically, building each space from the guest's point of view rather than the plan.
