Yesterday’s fundraiser for Sudan and Palestine was a beautiful day of radical care, good tunes and food, and community. Huge thanks to everyone who was involved, including everyone who showed up, bought from the market, ate/drank and donated.

🎇While the world's attention is focused on the stadiums, Gaza remains outside the celebratory screens... as millions await the opening whistle. Here in Gaza, some await the whistle of salvation, bread, water, or news to reassure their hearts about their loved ones. The world celebrates goals and matches, while Gaza continues to count its days between loss, patience, and hope. Some raise the flags of the national teams, while others search for the remnants of their homes and memories. We are not against joy, for joy is the right of every human being, but it is painful that the tragedy of an entire people has become a fleeting news item, while matches capture the world's attention. Gaza, despite everything, will remain present in the conscience and hearts of the free. Our story will remain too great to be forgotten and too powerful to be erased from memory. Do not let the roar of the stands silence the voice of the oppressed. Do not let the joy of the matches make you forget that in Gaza there is a people still waiting for their right to life. This is Gaza. This is the voice of the afflicted and the oppressed. This is hope and pain. 💔🤍🩹🥲
