October in West Michigan gets dark early and this is the only reason my kids are still outside after dinner.

So we light the TIKI Smokeless Fire Pit. And honestly, this is my favorite time of year to be outside.

My kids are little, and I wanted them outside longer without smoke in their faces. You know the smoke dance, moving chairs around, rubbing your eyes. There’s none of that here. It’s smokeless, so the little ones sit right up close, and they stay.

October is the best time for it. The air is cool, the leaves are everywhere, and it just feels cozy. We make hobo pies, the kids pick their own fillings, and we sit around a really good fire. Family, friends, their kids, everybody’s just here, relaxing, enjoying each other’s company.

That’s why we have it. Not to show off a backyard. Just to be out in nature a little longer, with the people we love, in the best month Michigan gives us. 🤎

Tell me — why does YOUR family stay outside? What’s your fire night look like? 👇

I love the point in fall where the days are still warm but with a gentle breeze and all you want to do is be outside!

I love that whether we’re spending a night together as a family or hosting the fire brings us together (and keeps us there for a while!)

This year we especially are loving our @tikibrandproducts Reunion fire pit! It combines outdoor traditions with chic and beautiful design and it’s perfect for our family!

With the option to add on accessories for however you like to enjoy your fire, we’re big TIKI fans!

@survivorcbs you said the torch was 🔥… I’m choosing to interpret that as progress. 😂

149 days down and the homemade torch is still burning. But Jeff, whenever you’re ready, I’d be more than happy to trade this one in for the real thing. 🔥🏝️

Until then… because fire represents your life, I’ll keep mine lit.

Day 149. #CastJWay
