Closing out Women’s History Month with 11 simple ways we can all help create safer, more respectful studio sessions.

Last summer at our writing camp in France with @weareshewrites, we sat down to discuss @womeninmusic’s Safer Spaces initiative. It sparked an hour long conversation about how the music industry can (and should) do better - from fostering inclusivity to making sure everyone in the room feels safe, heard, and respected.

Whilst some of these may feel like no brainers, the reality is, these situations happen far too often, and many don’t realize the impact they have.

Take notes. Be intentional. Look out for one another. Let’s raise the standard and make every session a safer space for everyone. 🤍

june dump !!! 🌞🌞🌞 from Portugal to France to Cornwall to Glastonbury … it was BUSY 🥲

i spent 4 days in Lisbon on my first ever solo trip (which i absolutely loved, recommend everyone to go away by themselves) and as soon as i got home i flew to France to spend a week with @weareshewrites, which was absolutely magical. returned home and the next day went back to Cornwall for a few days, and then had a week in London before i headed to Glastonbury 🤓

i’ve spent a lot of my 20s grappling with whether i like being a sober girlie and this month confirmed that i definitely do and that for the first time in a while i feel like i’m exactly where i’m meant to be 🫨💗

One week in France with these insanely talented babes wasn’t nearly enough 🫶🏼

Feeling like the luckiest girl alive that @pushupbra.la got to join @weareshewrites in creating their 20th all-femme songwriting camp! Loved every second of planning this with @iamvioletskies - such a special collab after 10 years of knowing and supporting each other 💕

@limusic_studio was a dream — every corner of that space is built for inspiration, and you can feel the love for art in every detail.

The music made during this camp was next level. These producers and writers are shaping the future of music. I left more inspired than ever, and I already miss those late-night jam sessions (slide 10 🥹).

Huge thanks to our incredible sponsors @shure, @youtubemusic, @sheisthemusic, @prsfoundation, @kobaltmusic, @womeninmusic, and @gibsonguitar for helping make this magic possible.
