This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Lewis Institute with Delta Gamma at the University of Arkansas and it was truly an experience I will never forget.

If I’m being completely honest, I was so nervous driving there. I was even on the verge of tears because I had no idea what to expect. I was stepping into a new environment, surrounded by people I had never met before, and it felt way outside of my comfort zone.

But the moment I arrived and met my fellow Delta Gamma sisters from different states and even Canada, everything changed. A wave of relief washed over me, and that nervousness quickly turned into excitement. I felt an immediate sense of belonging and a rush of thrill knowing I was about to make new connections, learn new things, and grow alongside such amazing women.

Throughout the week, I pushed myself to try new things, step outside my comfort zone, and embrace every opportunity that came my way. I learned so much about leadership, sisterhood, and myself. More importantly, I met incredible people who I am grateful to now call friends.

One of my favorite parts of the experience was participating in Anchor Thankers. Taking time to write encouraging notes to one another and receiving those notes in return was such a meaningful reminder of the kindness, support, and genuine sisterhood that exists within Delta Gamma. Those notes are something I will cherish for a long time.

Thank you to everyone who made this experience so special. I left with new memories, new friendships, new confidence, and a heart that is so full. Lewis Institute reminded me that some of the most rewarding experiences begin with taking a chance on something that scares you.

Forever grateful for this experience, the lessons I learned, the friendships I made, and the sisterhood that brought us all together. 💗⚓️

Lewis Institute with Tilley Roos! ⚓️💛🎀

From Tilley:
At Lewis Institute, we spent five days learning how to become stronger leaders through small group discussions, teamwork activities, and CliftonStrengths workshops that helped us better understand our individual strengths and how to use them to lead effectively within our chapters and communities.

Beyond the leadership development, one of my favorite parts was the friendships I made. Whether it was coffee runs, USip trips, late night insomnia cookies, or simply spending time together between sessions, I got to build connections with Delta Gamma sisters from all over the country who quickly became lifelong friends.

I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and for the opportunity to learn, grow, and represent Gamma Delta. Lewis Institute reminded me of the power of sisterhood and showed me that some of the best leaders are those who lead with authenticity, collaboration, and heart.⚓️
