Crazy idea? Or cool?

I had all these cider bottles from which I never removed the labels--most of them from @tiltedshed. I wanted to do something with them, in particular to pay tribute to Tilted Shed as well as many of the other ciders we greatly enjoyed.

This isn't all the great ciders we've had. Initially, I was hoarding bottles for my own cider making. Consequently, I removed the labels from most bottles, including some very good ones.

I hope it will hold up. I put two coats of polyurethane over the labels. If that is not sufficient to endure outside weather, I'll have to get something better.

Cheers! Long Live the Shed.

FYI: this is in Zone 0, we're Cal fire tells us we had to remove all plants and other combustibles. I wanted to do something with that empty space.

Tucked inside an industrial park just off Highway 101 is one of those unexpected Sonoma County finds that reminds you how much character this area has beyond wine.

What looks at first like a row of warehouses turns out to be home to a thriving little pocket of local favorites—breweries, cider, and even a distillery. If your household has more beer lovers than wine drinkers, this is a fun place to know about. And when a spot like Barley and Bine is buzzing at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday, you know it has built a real following.

It’s always worth looking a little closer around here. Sometimes the best local gems are hiding in plain sight.
