🎉 One Year as a Published Author 🎉

One year ago, Dating in Decay released into the world, and honestly, I had no idea what this journey would become.

Over the last year, I've published three books, attended conventions across seven states, sent 48 newsletters, packed hundreds of orders, found an amazing literary agent, and watched my stories reach readers in ways I never imagined.

But when I look back on this year, the numbers aren't what matter most.

I think about the readers who took a chance on a zombie romance. The indie authors who welcomed me into this community. The artists who brought my characters to life. The bookstores that stocked my books and championed indie authors. The Bite Squad street team that hypes every release. The friends I've made at signings, conventions, and book clubs. The people who have supported me through every preorder, review, recommendation, and late-night panic spiral.

These slides tell the story of a year in publishing, but the real story is the people behind every milestone.

Thank you for helping turn a dream into a career. Thank you for reading my books, sharing my posts, recommending my stories, and believing in me.

I can't wait to see what Year Two brings. 💚

Snacks, Schedules, and Everyone’s a Subject by Kristin Elizabeth was such a great audiobook! Thank you for the ALC!

This cozy mystery is a school drop off line whodunit! Maddie, one of the parents, realizes that her one of the other parents and child hasn’t been at the school carline which is very out of character for them. So naturally, she goes to pop over to their house to check if there are okay. At that house, she is met with the corpse of another parent!

I thought this book was so cute! I love how easy it was to fall into the gossip and banter of all the parents in the carline as they try to solve the mystery! I think the narration of the book was done amazingly and that’s a part of the reason why it’s so easy to feel like you are a part of the gossip! Additionally, any book the shouts out occupational therapy has my heart lol

QOTD: Growing up, did you take the bus or where dropped off at school?
