A look back at Jubilee on the Green! 💚🌿

Last weekend, Hazelwood Green came alive with a festive afternoon of art, music, movement, and community! From live performances and hands-on art activities to sports, games, and family fun, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Presented in partnership with @augustwilsonculturalcenter, Jubilee on the Green brought us outside together to celebrate creativity and the joy of discovering something new.

A huge thank you to all of our partners, artists, vendors, and community members who made this day so special.

✨ Stay tuned for more upcoming Fall events!

Hello fam, our next guest is the great and only @japa_system !!!

Ancestral rhythm meets technology in the sound of Japa System! A percussionist and producer, Japa blends timbal and atabaque drums with synthesizers and electronic drum kits to create a unique sonic experience. With one foot in Afro-Brazilian tradition and the other in innovation, his project promises an immersive, visceral concert.

He joined BaianaSystem in 2013, performing at festivals in Japan, Chile, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, England, and the United States, as well as at Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio — winning the 28th Brazilian Music Award (2017) and a Latin Grammy (2019) with the band.

He currently pursues a solo career, taking his show to countries such as Indonesia, Portugal (Lisbon), Canada, and Spain, while also working with other artists and agencies on private shows around the world. He is also the creator of Nave System, an original setup that combines electronic and organic instruments to reproduce multiple percussive rhythms, expanding the possibilities of music production — an innovation that has earned him partnerships with major companies in the industry.

Are you ready to have an amazing workshop with Japa System??? 💪🏾🥁💪🏾🥁💪🏾🥁
