Australia is fortunate to have some of the most beautiful timbers in the world, and I’d argue there’s few with more striking colours than this brushbox. Designed to comfortably seat eight, this gorgeous dining table is for sale, message me if you’re interested

🏁 Custom Barn Door — Complete!

This one has finally come together, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

A custom Messmate barn door, carefully prepared, sanded and finished with Osmo Oil, then paired with some quality hardware and a custom-fabricated track. The natural character and grain of the Messmate really does the talking. 👌

A massive thank you to the businesses who helped make it happen:

🌳 Timber Zoo — for the beautiful Messmate timber
🔩 Fast Hinge — for the awesome Door Cart System, which helped lift this beast up onto the track and made installation a whole lot easier!
🚪 Detail Door Furniture — for supplying all the door hardware and finishing the project off perfectly
🔥 Shack Powder Coating & Sandblasting — for getting the metalwork looking spot on
⚙️ Breakwater Metal Land — for the custom fabrication of the barn door track
🪵 Osmo Oil — for the beautiful finish that brought the timber to life
💪 Clint at Nortova Carpentry — for bringing the extra muscles when it was time to get this beast into place! 😂

I’ve tagged everyone involved, so if you’re one of the businesses above, I’d really appreciate you sharing this post to your page or story. It helps get the project in front of a few more people and gives everyone involved a bit of extra exposure. 🙌

Thanks again to everyone who played a part in bringing this one together.

Another custom project completed by Checkered Flag Property Services. 🏁🔨

🌳 It’s National Tree Day! Today we’re taking a moment to reflect on the important role trees play in our landscapes, communities and the work of our students. From selecting the right tree to craning this 3-metre beauty into place, every detail mattered in ‘A Woman’s Garden’. This award-winning landscape designed by our horticulture students Megan Blair (@meganblair.gladmina), Sarah Jones (@beespleasegardens) and Georgina Honner (@rubysaltbushgardencare) brought them home a Gold Award, Best Construction and an Excellence Award at the @melbflowershow Challenger Achievable Gardens competition. This project was a true team effort! Hear more about their inspiring journey. #TheGordon #NationalTreeDay #Horticulture #TAFE #StudentSuccess

This one has been bubbling away in the background for sometime. Combining a personal love of music and mcm furniture, this little Blackwood hi-fi console in will be coming home with me! Lots of little details in this one and as always plenty more challenges! As always, beautifully captured by @vanessa_smith_photography 📸 and looking forward to sharing when she is fully set up!

Recently completed by the team is this beautiful spotted gum pergola and deck.

Using Corten steel as the fascia allowed us the flexibility to achieve the sweeping curved perimeter of the deck.

Left to naturally weather, the rich rust tones of the Corten steel, paired with the silver-grey patina that the spotted gum will develop over time, will only continue to improve with age.

A special mention to Helen @toddesign_ for providing the landscaping concept for this project. We’re excited to be part of the transformation of what was once a very basic backyard into a native sanctuary, designed to host many memorable garden parties, family dinners, and years of enjoyment
