Where the Sea Keeps Its Stories

For #LeicaFilmFriday, Timothy B. Warner (@timbwarner) captures the quiet rhythm of Cornwall’s coast, from sails in the harbour to fleeting moments by the water.

Photographed on the #LeicaM6, the series reflects the timeless quality of film, where grain, colour and light come together to preserve the character of Mousehole’s Sea, Salt & Sail Festival.

Discover the beauty of film photography and continue sharing the world as you see it as we celebrate World Photography Day with #LeicaWPDSG26.

“Transmuted Swim” (Block 1) Short Film - Slate 1

So this is what we’ve been working on for the last couple months. The most ambitious and surreal film I’ve ever done. So much so we’ve had to split it into three blocks:

Block 1 - The land (complete)
Block 2 - Surface Water (complete)
Block 3 - Underwater (prepping)

Not gonna ramble on too much as there is soooo much to talk on and production isn’t done yet but, the crew and my @kez_armstrong fucking SMASHED IT.

Eternally grateful to everyone who helped make this film, words can’t describe - you absolutely smashed it, couldn’t have got this far without any of you. The biggest love to you all ❤️

So much more coming soon, like an annoying amount of photos and videos and more photos and more videos…

Some photos from The Hostage which is available to watch on Netflix now. This is the project that I am most proud of being a part of to date.

What a privilege to be working with so many talented people. I felt like we became a little family and I truly miss it. I wish I had more photos!

My wonderful camera department, through thick and thin:

Mattgraydop - I'm always so proud to tell people about the shows that you DoP. The attention to detail is incredible and it shows. I also enjoyed seeing the more cheeky and funny side of you the more we work together.

@catherine.derry.dop - it was so lovely to work with you, you're a true champion to women in the industry. Not only are you great at what you do, but you also provide such a kind atmosphere on set

@jonotyler undeniably the best Steadicam op I have met to this day (no offence to anyone else). Thanks for letting me learn from you and trusting us with your equipment.

@johnpiggottuk - thanks for making me laugh more than I ever did on any other set. I can always expect a fun time when you're around.

Martin Payne - a great leader and a true professional. Keeping it all beautifully sharp and never afraid of hard work despite so many years in the industry

@timbwarner - quiet, always professional and with an impeccable hairstyle everyday (I don't know how you do it)

@khulu_nation - my right hand. Thanks for being so on it constantly, especially when I was struggling at times. I definitely learned a thing or two from you!

@berenikamedia & @abibalfecamera - I'm so proud of you both for all the challenges you have overcome on the shoot and that I could always trust you to get on with any task. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. I only wish we had more time to teach you but it looks like both of your careers are progressing nicely :)

Absolutely loved working on this job, certainly some challenges working on a ship for a week but a fantastic experience with a great crew.
