WEEK 3 RESULTS — PART 2 🏈

(19) Notre Dame 43, North Carolina 0

Irish dominance from start to finish.

Notre Dame controlled every phase of this game and handed Coach Uncle Brad and North Carolina their third straight loss to open the season. The result? A shutout — and a lot of questions in Chapel Hill.

The Irish offense was efficient and explosive on the ground:
🏃‍♂️ Rocco Franco
8 carries, 159 yards, 2 TDs
Nearly 20 yards per carry, including a 74-yard run that broke the game open early.

QB Edward Volk didn’t need volume — just execution:
• 87 passing yards, 1 TD, 66% completion
• Let the run game do the damage

Notre Dame finished with:
• 257 rushing yards & 4 rushing TDs
• 10.4 yards per play
• Scored in every quarter

North Carolina never found rhythm.
QB Felipe Grimes was under constant pressure:
• 65 passing yards
• 4 interceptions
• Just 1-for-12 on 3rd down as a team

Defensively, the Irish were relentless:
• Multiple takeaways
• Consistent backfield pressure
• No points allowed — period

UNC falls to 0–3, while Notre Dame looks locked in and trending up as conference play approaches.

Sometimes the score tells the whole story.
This was one of those times. ☘️🔥

Sequencing matters.

Throwing power doesn’t start with the arm, it starts from the ground up.

When the hips fire first and the upper body stays back, you create separation, store elastic energy, and allow the arm to work fast without forcing it.

Med-Ball Hip-Lead Sequence Throws teach the quarterback to:
• initiate with the lower half
• delay the torso and arm
• transfer force through the kinetic chain
• deliver the ball with efficiency, not effort

Build this into the warm-up and the throw feels easier, the ball jumps off the hand, and the shoulder takes less stress.

Sequence it right and velocity takes care of itself.

The offseason isn’t just about throwing the football it’s about building quarterbacks from the ground up.

That’s why I built a 3-phase offseason program designed to hit every piece of development:
🔹 Phase 1: Mechanics & foundation – break bad habits and rebuild your base.
🔹 Phase 2: Routes, rhythm & competition – translate mechanics into timing and confidence.
🔹 Phase 3: Game simulation & recognition – apply it all when it matters most.

Each phase builds on the last. It’s not random workouts it’s a system built from my own playing experience and years of coaching QBs at every level. I’ve seen firsthand how structured development separates good QBs from great ones.

This program means a lot to me.

Fellas,

As you head into camp, I just want you to know how proud I am of each of you. The work you put in this summer — the hours, the reps, the sweat — it all matters. You’ve earned the right to compete with confidence. Go chase that starting job, trust your preparation, and let it rip. I love you guys and believe in you 100%. Let’s eat. Stay Ready ‼️
