🪖Genuine British military history for around £350.

This is my CWC G10, issued to the British Army in 1998, and it’s still one of the most affordable ways to own a genuinely issued military watch.

👉The front is pure function: a highly legible black dial, quartz movement, bold Arabic numerals and the circled T denoting tritium. But for me, the really interesting bit is on the back.

⬆️The Broad Arrow denotes Ministry of Defence/Crown property, while W10 tells us it was issued to the British Army. 6645 is the NATO equipment code for a Time Measuring Instrument and 99 the NATO country code for the UK. Below that sits the model’s item number, followed by the individual serial number and finally 98 — the year it was issued.

That’s what separates a watch like this from something that’s simply military-inspired. This one was actually issued.

And despite all that provenance, issued examples can still be found for around £350. That’s an awful lot of British military watch history for the money.

Mine has the marks of its previous life and that’s exactly how I want it.

What other genuinely issued military watch offers this much history for around £350?

🍦The @norqain Freedom Enjoy Life Chronograph ’sprinkes’ is a watch that screams summer and fun.☀️

🍦We really enjoyed this shoot, creating fake ice cream (3 types through trial and error) and throwing sprinkles around the place. Messy, but worth the effort.

Sometimes you have to go the extra mile to get the shot. What do you think? 👇

Have an amazing summer watchfam. 🤙
