It is amazing when life comes full circle ⭕️. Knowing and understanding gratitude I believe plays a huge part. Reza Djala was once an employee of The Pub & Restaurant. It was there that a Reza created our famous Lavender Blueberry Cheesecake. Reza moved on to other endeavors, that being the manager of The Adams County Farmers Market @adamscountyfsrmersmarket. 🐓 Reza has done some amazing things for The Farmers Market the past couple of years. The most amazing is his leadership through this pandemic. I am most grateful for Reza encouraging me to try the market to sell our flowers, produce & lavender products. It has been a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and develop a regular clientele for our flowers. I believe every Saturday was not just about the sales but the experience for myself and my boys. Silos on Table Rock @thesilosontablerock will not have a stand at the market for the rest of the season as Mother Nature’s early frost brought an end to our gorgeous flowers. Thank you everyone, the farmers and all the wonderful customers who became friends to us! We hope our flowers put a smile on your face and happiness in your heart 💐#flower farmer #buy local #farm life #adamscountyfarmersmarket #farmgirl #farmermom #hayfarmer #lavenderfarm #horsefarm

Small Business Saturday - Introspection - . After nearly a decade of owning a small business and providing a service - you learn a few things, or at least you should! The first, you need a healthy amount of introspection, constantly. The process by which you can truly evaluate how "you" are doing emotionally, mentally and physically. This is where other small businesses "get it", I can't over emphasize the stress that comes with it. You must make time to recharge, sometimes that seems so far out of reach. . I really want to draw your attention to one person here, her name is Lisa @timeless2013 - she owns and operates a restaurant, The Pub, in the heart of Gettysburg, PA. My wife and I spent nearly a week with her in April. Above all, Lisa gets it - she gets the stress that weighs on you, the constant...constant, the never ending...next thing, and that's why she just left us alone in her Lavender House. Because mostly what small business owners need is...nothing. Nothing to think about, nothing to follow up on, nothing to schedule, nothing to hear but the sound of silence. . After the first 24-48 hours of nothing, you start to settle in. That's the point where you can start to let go and look inside, and hopefully, be honest with yourself on how you're doing - not how your business is doing, but you. Find this place for yourself, for your creativity, for your sanity. Look up The Lavender House Gettysburg (all one word) on Facebook and go recharge. . 📓ISO100, f4, 1/200s @ 100mm #introspection #soundofsilence #selfreflection #western #americanwest #westernphotography #westernhorseman #recharge #ranch #utah #utahphotographer #burnscustomhats #burnshats #cowboy #alienbees #cowboyhat #photography #photography101 #canon #canonusa #teamcanon #canonbringit #n40life #smallbusinessowner #smallbusinesssaturday #smallbusiness #entrepreneur #smallbusinesslife #studiophotography #paulcbuff

Technically Speaking - Lisa @timeless2013 walks her stud horse, Skips Bo Coolest, across her property - I find that I'm a formal in my compositions, I really like straight lines...they speak to my linear brain. In color, well...I love color, plain and simple and when a palette like this comes along, I can't resist. So here, with all its harmony, I find comfort in the slanted horizon line - it speaks to my artistic soul. It's a kin to the saying, technically accurate is technically boring...for me! #ranch #ranchlife #ranching #colorharmony #artist #horseillustrated #westernhorseman #harmony #yellow #pennsylvania #pennsylvaniaphotographer #aqha #aqhaproud #cowgirl #horse #palominohorse #photography #photography101 #canon #canonusa #teamcanon #farm #farmlife #farming #palomino #studhorse #farmgirl #grimsterstracksidequarterhorses #gettysburg #overalls Shot Details ISO100, f4, 1/640s @ 200mm

I've always been very passionate about sharing what I've learned in photography with hopes that it helps the younger "me" out there. Making memories - Lisa @timeless2013 stops for a brief moment to get a kiss - Over the past four days here in Gettysburg, we've been able to slow down, relax, take in the silence, reconnect, make new friends, tell stories and most importantly, make lasting memories...like that of Lisa here with her foal. I always say, it's not just a snapshot...it's a story. What we don't see in an image is all that has gone into the image - the time, talent, education and expertise of the maker and the the subjects unique stories, like how extremely challenging and all the hurdles to get this little girl. You appreciate more and you feel the gratefulness that you're blessed with. That's how we feel being here with Lisa! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you've done for us. You are the heart and soul of this farm! #ranch #ranchlife #ranching #western #americanwest #westernphotography #westernhorseman #workingranchmagazine #americancowboy #pennsylvania #pennsylvaniaphotographer #aqha #aqhaproud #cowboy #horse #cowboyhat #photography #photography101 #canon #canonusa #teamcanon #farm #farmlife #farming #foal #babyhorse #farmgirl #grimsterstracksidequarterhorses #gettysburg #overalls Shot Details ISO100, f4, 1/640s @ 85mm
