Tudor Black Bay 54 On Black Ribbed NATO Strap

On this short trip to Portugal I decided to only bring my trusty BB54 of course with a few NATO straps to change up the look according to my outfits and activity.

Quick swim in the ocean but didn’t go anywhere near 200m deep 😂, nevertheless it’s good to know that this watch is more than capable at those depths…

And yes, this is still on the wrist tomorrow for OneWatchWeek — and honestly… I’m not even thinking about what else is in the box (maybe I am a bit).

The polished centre links are already picking up their first lines. It’s had a knock. It won’t be the last.

And that’s the point.

🚨🔔 New Watch Alert 🔔🚨 — The Final Piece (?)

Few watches carry the mythology, demand, and presence of the Rolex Daytona. Yet it’s easy to forget that this wasn’t always the case — the early Cosmographs and even 1960s Daytonas were unpopular, far from the frenzy we see today.

Black dial or white dial will always be debated, but for me the decision was never really about colour. It was about a date. IYKYK on that… but, I think black is the right choice - you decide below 🫣

Last weekend, surrounded by the WatchFam, the stickers came off - a small ritual marking the moment this watch stopped being “new” and officially began its life on the wrist. Huge thanks to @hendersonshorology for capturing these moments so perfectly (even if it isn’t actually me in the pictures - that’s @adventures_of_green_bezels 😂).

Grey, overcast, wet and miserable UK weather 🙄 calls for just one watch when the dog won’t walk itself 💪🏻

A week ago I was about to embark on my longest run to date and lo and behold I managed to run 50km and without issue.

However, on Tuesday evening whilst out walking Bobs I managed to slip, fall and land on my left knee so hard that I struggle to bend it currently.

I went to see my chiropractor yesterday for my regular fortnightly appointment and he’s done his magic yet again.

Today feels much more manageable in both movement and pain. No running or cycling for a week, so I’m focusing on the strength stuff at home.

I can currently do 3 wide grip pull ups in a row and hope to get to 10 by year end 🤞🏻

Anyone else have a a fitness or strength goal for 2026?

Still one of my favourite watches ever and one that I will always hold dearly.

I chose black and white as today it’s a distinctly drab, grey and wet day here in the Southern UK.

I’m so glad that yesterday during the 50k run, that the weather was sunny. Made it markedly more “pleasant” 🫠

Today I’m a little sore understandably and walking down stairs is reassuringly painful, but my partners son and his father managed to do 50k and the daughter did 30k so between us a total of 181k 🙌🏻

For anyone interested I’ve shared the Strava for the run in my stories.

I would like to rest a bit today but Bobs needs her walk so off we will trundle into the village to get a flat white and a puppachino very soon.

I absolutely love the vintage design of the Seamaster 300, but it’s thicker than a whale omelette and that’s made worse still when worn on an OEM NATO strap.

Such a shame. Had Omega made it 11mm thick this watch would very likely still be on my wrist today. I’ve always been an Omega fan, however were you to look at my page I come across as a true Rolex fan boy which is kinda true, but I want another Omega.

Anyhow the thickness of a watch that I no longer own is of little worry to me as I’ve against my better judgement been roped into doing a 50km ultra this morning by my partners son.

The furthest I’ve ran since the 2024 London marathon was the 15km last Sunday so little endurance base. My stomach is also not trained at taking in nutrition whilst running so I’m expecting GI issues, hitting the wall and being sore as fuck.

Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance they say in the military. I’m not a military man so doesn’t apply here 🫠

Should be a fun one 🤣🤣
