Hello #watchfam !
I've been collecting Seikos for almost three years now. About two years ago after i bought my first grail watch, 6139-6002 aka the Pogue. That's when my pepsi craziness era started and i had 17 different Seiko pepsis, new, vintage, automatic, quartz, small and big ones. Then i bought my first 7002-700a and modded it and sold it, bought a second one and did the same thing again. On the third pic is my third 7002-7001, and im not modding or selling it. I regret selling the second one, but it went to @ilkkake s good home. The bezel insert on that watch was so badly scratched and faded that you could tell that it had lived a full life and seen some serious s**t, but it's was the most beautiful thing ever, and you can see it on the last pic. Now for a while i have been acquiring only models with a faded or scratched insert. I know that you can make them look faded with chlorine, but i only want the real deal.

The Lieutenant Willard.

I ordered a modded Willard from eBay – the listing only mentioned the watch, so imagine my surprise when the box also included a full set of extras. Inside was an NH35 ticking away with excellent accuracy, a NATO strap, 19 mm fat bars, and a handmade military-style pouch with a leather strap and an Apocalypse Now patch. Easily the coolest accessories I’ve ever received with any watch purchase.

The finishing and overall feel of the watch are top-notch for a mod. The domed sapphire makes taking photos a bit challenging, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

This was my first Father’s Day gift from my partner – which makes it the most important, valuable, and meaningful watch in my collection. And yes, I know it’s not a real Willard… but please keep the purist comments to the DMs. That saved us a thousand euros that went straight to baby diapers. ❤️
