En el mundo de los relojes digitales no todo se reduce a la hegemonía de Casio. Es más, existen muchas marcas que tienen mucho que decir al respecto, como es el caso de la tan querida @timex. La enorme casa estadounidense ya ha demostrado en múltiples ocasiones que puede desarrollar relojes digitales de una calidad más que aceptable. Y aunque el modelo que os traigo hoy toma bastante inspiración de los F91 de Casio (o de los A158W en este caso), me parece una alternativa súper digna para lucir con orgullo. Os presento al: TIMEX PAC-MAN T80 Este precioso reloj presenta una caja de resina plateada de 34 mm de diámetro, y un brazalete de acero inoxidable que le confieren ese aire retro que está tan de moda ahora. La pantalla de cristal acrílico muestra una información de lo más completa, con la hora y la fecha bien visibles, además que en la parte superior izquierda se ve claramente si la alarma está activa o no. Además de eso, incluye un cronógrafo completo de 24 horas con tiempos de vuelta y parciales, y gracias a su tecnología Indiglo, la pantalla se ilumina de manera completa y nítida en condiciones de poca luminosidad, lo que permite consultar la hora y otras funciones sin tener que forzar la vista. Y por supuesto, su mecanismo de cuarzo aporta precisión y poco mantenimiento. Es verdad que su PVP es un poco más elevado que el de su homólogo nipón, sitúandose sobre los 50 €, pero a quien le apetezca una alternativa al mítico A158W, esta pieza es una compra obligatoria. ¿Vosotros os compraríais este reloj? ✌️😊 #Relojes #Watches #DigitalWatches #Timex ⌚

There’s something seriously underrated about a brown dial watch, especially when it gets the details right. This Timex dress watch is a perfect example of why you don’t always need an expensive luxury watch to have serious wrist presence. The deep chocolate brown dial, fine textured pattern, applied Roman numerals, baton indices, inner minute track and two-tone stainless steel bracelet give it a surprisingly rich character, while the polished case keeps the whole watch clean and elegant. What caught my eye is how the dial changes with the light. Sometimes it looks almost chocolate, sometimes warm bronze, and sometimes much darker and more vintage-inspired. That’s the kind of detail that makes a watch interesting to a watch collector. It has that classic vintage watch aesthetic without looking like a direct attempt at a vintage reissue, and the combination of brown, silver and gold makes it incredibly easy to wear with both formal and casual outfits. This is also why I enjoy exploring affordable watches and underrated watch brands instead of only chasing the obvious luxury names. A good wristwatch doesn’t have to shout Rolex, Omega or Cartier to make you stop and look at it. Sometimes a simple Timex watch, an unusual dial colour and a little bit of personality are enough. For me, collecting watches has never been only about price or status. It’s about the dial, the finishing, the history, the design and most importantly, that feeling when you look down at your wrist and still enjoy what you’re wearing months later. ⌚️🤎 So tell me honestly, brown dial or blue dial? Timex Self-Wind “LP Dial” Long before vinyl became cool again, Timex was already putting record grooves on wrists. Collectors call this style an “LP dial” because of the concentric grooves circling the dial—they catch the light much like the grooves of a record. And the “Self-Wind” on this one puts it in an interesting period of Timex history: the company used that wording on its early automatic watches before eventually switching to the now-familiar “Automatic.” It’s a small design detail that turns a wonderfully old-school Timex into something you keep looking at. La utilización de la estética vintage por parte de las marcas relojeras, no es un fenómeno comercial nuevo, ni mucho menos. Y no siempre estos intentos salen bien parados, pero ese no es el caso de hoy, ya que @timex ha realizado un trabajo estupendo con uno de sus nuevos lanzamientos. Dentro de su serie Marlin, la casa estadounidense nos trae un nuevo reloj que no pasa desapercibido, inspirado en la estética de los años 30 y que podemos acceder a él por un precio totalmente asequible (menos de 300 €). Os presento al: TIMEX MARLIN NEO CLASSIC CHRONOGRAPH (TW3A00200) Este vistoso reloj monta una caja de acero inoxidable cepillado de 40 mm de diámetro, corona a las 3 y unos enormes pulsadores curvados para acceder a las diferentes funciones de las subesferas. Se trata de un reloj de vestir, ya que su resistencia al agua no supera los 50 metros. Un cristal mineral acrílico abombado cubre la llamativa esfera, la cual es en realidad multi escala: En la zona exterior encontramos la escala telemétrica en color azul, que sirve para medir la distancia a la que se encuentra un suceso visible y audible (como un rayo y su trueno). En el centro nos encontramos la escala taquimétrica en rosa coral y dispuesta en espiral que sirve para calcular velocidades sobre una distancia fija. Y por último, las dos subesferas hacen las funciones de cronógrafo, para calcular los diferentes tiempos transcurridos. Es posible que esta pieza no sea del gusto de todo el mundo debido a lo llamativo de su propuesta. Pero tratándose de un reloj que se encuentra sobre los 260 €, si os apetece un cronógrafo vintage diferente, yo sin duda me tiraría a por este de cabeza. ¿Vosotros os compraríais este reloj? ✌️😊 #Relojes #Watches #Timex #TimexWatches ⌚

Keeping it street and adding a splash of colour to the feed today with the @timex and @endclothing collaboration T80 (TW2V33600). Being a streetwear brand the background feels very on brand for this understated little colab. After the high horology experience at @jaegerlecoultre on the weekend I needed something to bring me back down to earth, and what better way than with an ultra budget watch and some back alley Melbourne street art 🎨 I'm a huge fan of the T80, and even more of the metal cased ones. Three watches. One work trip. When I traveled for a work trip, these were the only watches I brought with me. The Casio AE1200 “Royale” was the practical choice. World time and a battery that seems to last forever. It kept track of home while I focused on work. Bought it in 2021 because I wanted a bigger watch than the Casio FW-91W and it’s been with me through multiple work trips across Europe. It’s easily the most reliable piece in my collection @casio_us The Rado Diastar Chronograph 541.0638.3 came with me because it reminds me of where I came from. Growing up in P.R, Rado was everywhere. My father wore them, and for many people across Latin America, a Rado was the watch you aspired to own as a middle class worker. Rado never tried to be Rolex or Omega, they just represented a durable Swiss brand. Every time I wear it, I think about that connection. Bought it in 2021 and it became my entry-level piece into collecting @rado The Timex Expedition T46681 is the latest addition of the three. Bought it this year and the goal was to acquire a brown leather daily beater. Simple, tough, easy to read, and exactly the kind of watch that fits long training days, travel, and daily wear @timex Different brands. Different countries.
