LIEVE VRIENDEN!

Over the moon to have @timnotsimon joining us and taking care of the scenography for Gay Daze.

Tim creates temporary sculptural environments exploring queer identity, transformation, and impermanence. Their work plays with the excessive and the fragile, the playful and the sincere, creating immersive worlds that seem to grow, mutate, and come alive.

We’re so grateful and proud to have their world become part of ours, and to share it with you all this weekend!

And a little shoutout to @nicolas.stolarczyk who helped us cuntify the windows too 🪟💅✨

We’re going international bbs💋

Freqy Rhythm x Amsterdam Pride July 25th at Sissi’s, with an ever-talented multi-disciplinary line up of DJ Shahmaran, Lola Edo, Nola Nyza, Syncrow, Bertie, Poked by a Rose and TimnotSimon.

This party is a celebration for the LGBTQI+ community and those who love us.

It’s an invitation to be unapologetically you. A place for our artists to let loose. A space to experience queer joy, courage, resilience, spirit, creativity and pride.

It’s a reminder for allies to be loud and active in their support all year round.

And for us all to remember pride began as a protest. One that we still need.

Big love to our beautiful queer community during this tumultuous year. Can’t wait to celebrate all that makes us beautiful, unique and free.

On the 31st of July, we take over @garagenoord for another Thursday full with surprises.
A night where artists reveal their sounds and unique visions, crafting an evening that drifts through a rollercoaster of emotions—whispers of introspection, flickers of gentle hope, and the bittersweet ache of nostalgia.
A moment to pause and dream in stillness, to let your thoughts roam untethered, and to explode with abandon.

As always there will be QR codes around space where you can donate money to @gaza_skate a team from Palestine that collects money to support children and youth

From 20:00 till END

@timnotsimon —Acid Reflux—
A new work I created this week at @depo.orthuisjes.
The piece is entirely made out of sculpted balloons.
I used the small residency space to experiment and work intuitively, and I’m really happy with the outcome—it feels like an honest reflection of myself, my queerness, and the kind of vibrant chaos I love to bring into my work.

I really valued the social aspect of this project and how accessible it makes art:
art right there on the street, open to everyone.
No pretension—just something down-to-earth and sweet, waiting to be discovered as an unexpected, intimate moment by anyone who happens to notice it.

Sweet 💖

It might be Friday the 13th but we’re feeling lucky. BUTTS holds the aces, some jacks and all of the queens for a Queer Night par excellence. Juliana X, Coco Coquelicot, Egon Centrik and Creature of the Moss spice up the main; Femboy Slim and Cadillac lean back in the zen-ified pink room. Timnotsimon and Vuilmasker with the iconic decor, count your blessings.

Can’t wait to meet you tomorrow. Tempt the devil on the 13th for some clubbing in the edge 😈

Tickets online and at the door.

A week-end to end all weekends. We’re doubling down on doubling up with two electrifying nights. Queer clubbing perfection on Friday as BUTTS goes all out across two rooms. Saturday marks the great return of Dutch master and unrivalled DJ De Sluwe Vos. We’re down to the last 10 tickets for this one. Be warned or be queueing for doorsale.

Hit the link in bio for both!

Dear followers,

Big update/announcement: The past year we have been very quiet publicly, but behind the scenes we have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to go forward with our collective. Sadly we had to come to the conclusion that we are unable to continue with Wentelteefjes in its current form.
We look back on a lot of good memories from organising events the past 8 years. A big thank you to all participants and visitors!!! We 🖤 you! For nostalgia's sake you can always still visit the archive from our events on our website.
🕊PEACE ➕ LOVE,

Team Wentelteefjes;
