🚨Summer Jam 2026🚨

I love jumping on the mic at these events but it leaves limited time to film.

Here are some clips I was able to grab.

Some days, the best thing you can photograph at a skate spot isn’t the trick.

It’s the smiles before, during and after it.

The high fives, the dab up...
The kid watching from the fence.
Friends showing up for friends.
Parents watching their kids skate.

Someone handing over a board, a drink, a tool, or just a little encouragement when somebody’s been battling the same trick for an hour.

Skateboarding has always had its grit.
Slams... scars... busted shoes, the commitment.
That part is easy to recognize and easy to photograph.

But there’s another side of it that deserves to be documented too.

The family.

The friendships. The people who build together, skate together, laugh together and keep showing up for one another. The moments between the tricks are where a lot of the real story lives.

I made it a point to live in this part of it for a moment before I got caught up in the session.

That was the approach at the Concrete Jungle for this deck release. Not just documenting what went down on the ramps, but documenting who was there and why it mattered.

This release is bigger than a new deck.

Every deck purchased puts another bag of cement into the ground and helps turn a DIY into something that keeps growing. That concrete becomes a ramp. That ramp becomes a session. That session becomes a memory. And eventually, somebody’s going to look back at these photos and remember exactly who was there with them.

So, no matter where you are or where you skate, support your local DIY.

Buy the deck. Bring the cement. Build the spot. Show up for the session. Bring your friends. Bring your kids. Bring somebody who hasn’t found their people yet.

Because sometimes the best thing you can land isn’t a trick.

It’s a moment worth remembering.

Keep battling it out, but never forget to celebrate the happiness that made you pick up a board in the first place.
