I wasn’t riding my bike, I was playing with the limits of my potential. Pretty cool way to spend a day if you ask me!

14hr adventure and 210km covered.

the whole point of endurance is to learn how to endure….

you get to play with every tool you’ve got- your mind, nutrition, pace, breathing, how you manage your body mile after mile. How you stay focused and in the moment when your brain naturally wants to think about how far you’ve got to go…

spending a whole day figuring out what lets you, as a human being, do something that genuinely blows your own mind? One of the best feelings there is.

doing it in the sunshine with friends and ice cream stops, making memories I’ll have forever and riding bikes made it one of the best days this summer!

Wrestle with the excuses or commit…

Yes it’s cold, dark, etc buuuut on the other side could be all this.

I was treated to the most beautiful sunrise in Richmond Park before heading out to Windsor and back with my pal Tim.

We met cycling across America 10 years ago and we love our rides. We have the best chats and always ride further than planned 🤪

Wasn’t expecting 110km 👀 but I love it!

You’re capable of more than your brain tells you. when you get into the right headspace to “give it a go” and trust yourself.

Friends help too ☺️

More of this energy please ☀️🚴‍♀️

Tim Richards, a long-standing member of WSCC has taken on the extraordinary challenge to ride the 2024 Tour de France route over 21 days.
Tim will tackle all 21 stages of the 2024 Tour de France, riding the exact route, but with the unique challenge of completing it one week ahead of the professionals.
In total, the 2024 Tour de France covers 3,492km (2,165mi) spread over 21 stages, with 8 flat stages, 4 “hilly” stages, 7 mountain stages (with 4 summit finishes) and 2 individual time trials.
Tim will be riding to raise money for the William Wates Memorial Trust. This is a great charity this a that supports disadvantaged young people through sports, arts and education. 💯 %. money raised goes directly to the Charity.

London ➵ Brighton ➵ London! 117 miles in the bag, longest ride in 3 years, one step closer to feeling strong for @cyclel2p24 and recovering from covid 🚴‍♀️🇬🇧

The way down there felt hard in parts, but I didn’t push myself, knowing my body and that we had a long way to go. Between Ditchling Beacon and the hill out of Brighton I think I broke my body and pushed through my [perceived] limit, but then came back stronger and finished the second half faster, in flow state and eating up the miles as the sun went down!

Beautiful bluebell woods, evening bird song and quiet country lanes 👌

But the best part was the company. Tim and I haven’t cycled together since we rode across America a few yrs ago, but I needed someone to do a big ride with and he showed up for me in the best way at the perfect time 🥰🙏
