Here’s info from Tim about his work:
Tim Romanowsky is an artist, animator and lecturer living in Leipzig, Germany.

In his work, he explores changing forms, gestures and compositions. Moving between abstraction and figuration, he continually transforms and combines images to create new constellations.

NEUES KURSANGEBOT

Im Sommersemester 2026 bietet Tim Romanowsky einen Kurs zur 2D- und Experimental Animation an.

„In meinem offenen Kurs schauen wir auf die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen von digitalem 2D - Zeichentrick. Zusammen gehen wir technische Abläufe durch, tauschen uns aus und die Teilnehmer*innen entwickeln ihre eigenen Projekte.“

Tim Romanowsky ist Animator und visueller Künstler aus Leipzig. Nach seinem Studium an der Burg Giebichenstein - Kunsthochschule Halle und Hochschule Luzern arbeitet er als Regisseur und Animator an zahlreichen Projekten für Dokumentarfilm, Spielfilm oder Werbung mit oder an eigenen Kurzfilmen. Daneben unterrichtet er seit 2017 an verschiedenen Kunsthochschulen 2D-Animation und experimentelle Gestaltung.

In the summer semester 2026, Tim Romanowsky will offer a course on 2D and experimental animation.

„In this open course, we will explore the possibilities and limitations of digital 2D animation. Together we will go through technical processes, exchange ideas, and participants will develop their own projects.“

Tim Romanowsky is an animator and visual artist based in Leipzig. After studying at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, he has worked as a director and animator on numerous projects for documentary film, feature film, and advertising, as well as on his own short films. In addition, he has been teaching 2D animation and experimental design at various art schools since 2017.
