Two years in the @bmi_mt_workshop and I am just so full of love not only for the program, but for all of the talented and inspiring people I got to know… and all of their songs that are STILL stuck in my head 💙

Two musicals! One trip to Medieval Times! Many new friends! SO much sight reading! One long boogie across the Brooklyn Bridge! And endless gratitude for the opportunity to keep this community forever in the Advanced Workshop mwahaha.

More footage to come…

As I lay awake in bed on this Saturday night / early Sunday morning, I couldn’t resist posting what was on my mind. I will be returning to college to finish my music degree after a year on leave, and classes start next week.

It wasn’t a year gone to waste. Far from it, actually. I kept busy - gigging whenever I could and making lots of new friends along the way. I couldn’t be more grateful for the connections I’ve made - through my time with Sunrise, Northwinds, St. Luke’s, my visits to the BMI workshop, Opera Maine… the list goes on and on.

I’ve attached a series to performance clips over the past year to have a record of the season’s accomplishments. THANK YOU to everyone who I’ve met along the way - it was a year of growth, discovery, and friendship.

I should get some sleep now.

One year ago we wrapped The Broken Lute, the Sparrows’ immersive interpretation of the Fitzgeraldian chapter, performed in the ONLY standing speakeasy in NYC to have been actually operating since prohibition.

Thanks to the gracious support of the F. Scott Fitzgerald Society (thanks so much Kirk, Walter, Lorrie!), we were incorporated into the Fitzgerald Society’s 2025 NYC conference in June. An experience of a lifetime! Then, thanks to kindness of The Back Room we brought it back again August 2025.

AND THAT’S NOT ALL:

I am THRILLED to announce that The Broken Lute will be RETURNING in Spring 2027 for FIVE WEEKENDS back at @thebackroomnyc!!!

This time we will be joined by director extraordinaire Cameron King @cmrn_kng 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

And for the first time ever, this show is part of a full ‘26-‘27 Sparrows SEASON! Stay tuned for more show announcements 👀

About last night… Thank you to everyone who came out to support (both in person and over livestream)! Getting sick this week and losing my voice was definitely not part of the plan but I am so proud of this show and I really feel like last night was just the beginning! You guys won’t believe how much better it is when I can hit all my high notes! To my band of three strong women (@caitlinthomasmusic , @ortizange and @emakrol ) you were my absolute rocks and I could not have done it without you! Thank you to Scott Siegel and to the entire 54 Below family! Until the next one 😉 ilysm 😍😍😍🩷🩷🩷🩷💕💕💕💕
