Pretty surprised and very honoured our episode 1 for Most Dirt Wins has been nominated at the Motor Film Awards. The quality of work at the show is top drawer stuff so it’s an honour to have our work alongside it. The biggest reward was the sheer amount of fun we had on this job at every turn, but a bit of industry recognition is always lekker too. It’s an evening that shines a light on the stories, filmmakers, and communities fighting to protect the wild. 🌍

One of the 6 films on the line-up is Laxaþjóð | A Salmon Nation. It’s a powerful look beneath the surface of Iceland’s fjords, where open-net salmon farms threaten to destroy one of Europe’s last remaining wildernesses. It’s a story of resistance, unity, and a country determined to protect the wild waters that define it.

In one of our Insight Sessions for the evening, we’ll be joined on stage by the team behind Laxaþjóð | A Salmon Nation.

Absolutely stoked to be able to finally share this piece of work which we shot last December! A monumental production behemoth to cast the perfect candidate that met all the criteria and then pull this off for real! No chest shots. No retakes. 100% real. Elevated Documentary storytelling is one of my favourite genres to play in and this was a jol (once we knew it could be done). Mad props to the producers Colleen from Song, Chris, Tristan and Matt from Dare! Huge thanks to my man Paisley on the Lens! Epic work by Tim on the edit and online to bring it to life and the good people of Pressure Cooker for making it sound so grand! And of course the creative heroes at Song for letting me bring this to life.
