Shout out to all Large and X Large Doggo Mums who have experienced being turned away from groomers, many times. To those doggos with hard to care for coats and previous grooming experiences which, have left them and their mama traumatised🥲 To slowly, safely introduce touch, sound, being washed, dried and combed and or, clipped and scissored, takes many sessions to build trust again with your doggo. The reality of rescue grooming and righting some bad experiences for both doggo and client Mum or Dad. This is obviously a journey and never turns around in one session. If trauma was turned around in one session, it wasn’t trauma!!😅😘 The reality is often tears, fear, defence, scratches, bites, getting soaked and being resourceful as to where and how you groom body areas and being realistic about what can be achieved in each session. Building to your end goal is key to trust and success for the doggo, groomer and paw-rent🤗 Today was a massive WIN with my clients lovely girl ‘Sansa’. Her mama faithfully brings her to me every 5 weeks. Never late, never misses an appointment, no excuses 💯% commitment❤️🙏🏼 Because of this discipline, Sansa is now able to be groomed without a muzzle for any washing drying or brushing. Today was an absolute WIN and it’s all down to the dedication of Sansa’s mum, who never gave up hoping she could find a groomer who fitted her doggos needs. From a severely matted, petrified doggo and a very unhappy nervous paw-rent - 6 grooms later and we are muzzle free for the entirety of the session and have a happy, dancing 💃🏽 Samoyed 🤗🐾❤️🐾🤗 If you would like to book a very nervous defensive or aggressive dog in to my groom boutique please call or WhatsApp on the business number below: 📞 07852 456633 Edenbeau.uk #doggrooming #dogsofinstagram #groominglargedogs #doggroominghampshire #doggroomingdorset
