What happens when the hardest borders to cross are the ones within ourselves? 🏳️‍🌈✨

Meet Tindo. Born intersex and surgically assigned female at just 3 months old, Tindo spent 50 years living as “Cynthia”—navigating debutante balls and women’s auxiliaries in a body and identity that never quite fit.

In our latest episode of @the.collective.table.podcast , Tindo shares their powerful journey of untangling a lifetime of medical secrecy to reclaim their authentic self.

We discuss:

❤️ The deep work of self-empathy after trauma.

📖 How Jesus’s words in Matthew 19 offer a surprising theology of liberation for gender-liminal lives.

🌱 The courage it takes to forgive the past and grow into who you were always meant to be.

This is a conversation about the grace we find when we stop pretending and start being.

What is going on with my 23X chromosome? It doesn't look like an X at all. It looks like a kind of broken long chromosome. Help me out if you can! Thanks!

Yeah, I just came across my file from when I was diagnosed #intersexed 1996-1997.

Attention all of my North County peeps and anyone who wishes their pelvic floor was more fit! This new technology for strengthening your pelvic muscles is brilliant.
Plus it’s a great way to meet our naturopathic Dr Moira Fitzpatrick- who is our primary doctor.
This will be a fun event!

5 years ago today my #intersex memoir XOXY launched the same week we all went into lockdown. More like a misfire - big book launch party and multiple bookstore events canceled. It was devastating.

Today as the U.S. is being destroyed by hate-filled narcissistic leaders who want to deny the existence of intersex people while infants and young children continue to be harmed, I continue to do this work raising awareness and outrage in hopes of ending these harmful practices and the stigma and shame faced by intersex people and their families . Thanks to all of you who continue to support me in my work and my life as an intersex woman and activist.

💜💛XOXY, KZ

I really feel for @gemmacollins : Drs labelled we #intersex #DisordersOfSexualDebelopment which they changed to ‘Differences’ of.. when we spoke out about it but we all know that #DSD is still medicalising a very normal & natural 1 in 1500 of human tribe. #NativeAmerican wisdom calls us #TwoSpirits. As common as red hair and green eyes. We are still being aborted and medicalised - with surgeries & hormones etc as kids.. The every things the #CassReport has led to being banned for trans kids. Because in our case Drs , Christianity & Society want to believe and shore up with scalpels the Sex Binary and not face scientific reality Sex is a spectrum and so is gender. This hegemony leads to babies like Gemma’s being aborted and children like me having bits of our endocrine system cut out. I lost my testes because of this ideology to make me a girl because I was born with a vagina I now call mancunt ..and now -only in my late 40s here in LA- did I finally get the testosterone my body would’ve produced and get to live as a Trans Masc non-binary Intersex person..waking up to this in LA is v difficult and emotionally upsetting as Intersex person because we know these doctors and #JKRowling et cetera actually wish we didn’t exist because we don’t fit the pink and blue boxes and we legitimise the #trans experience -biologically - which is their great fear.. because they want to pretend that men and women are very different and the only two categories ..when in fact we are all built from the same stuff.. and hormones take the basic female phenotype & drive the creation of maleness from a female template in the uterus. Fuck the pink and blue reveal parties! They deny our place in humanity. The biggest irony is that doctors don’t know why Intersex people can be very intelligent if not 145+ IQ intelligent and often age slower.. I’m in my 50s and I survived two overdose attempts aged 14 & a 20 year alcohol and drug addiction. I’m 22 years sober . Yet if you look at me people think that I’m in my late 30s or early 40s- and I haven’t had Botox or any fillers. I’m just naturally sexy as fuck. #7G @ukinla @baftaus #abortion #intersexy

Proud of our community for being a part of the 8th annual 2023 LGBTQIA+ SoCal Health Conference at Kaiser Permanente’s Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine in Pasadena. At the event, themed “Synergistic Collaboration,” LGBTQIA+ students and allies in the health industry came together to exchange ideas, build community, and find empowerment through lectures and workshops. Dr. Michael Kreuzer (part of the recent Intersex 101 panel) gave the opening keynote speech 💜💛👏

Huge thanks to brilliant #astrology guide @marvalarex (and talented actor & producer) for summing up #7G 1969-2022 and helping me get ready to tackle 2023. Knowledge is Power, babies! So what’s happening?? Well, I’m glad you asked…2023 is a solid breakthrough year for this Aries- I’m going to be running my life like a military op- it’s a total #creativity & work year. I’m going to get in the best shape ever. And there will be sex. A lot of *sex. Monogamy is not on my radar and If I’m ever getting married again- third time lucky 🙏🏼- we are looking at 2025. Which feels good and far away!! And to anyone who wants to know why I’m so bloody intense & challenging and insist on speaking these unspeakable words & #intersex #trans #nonbinary truths- it’s all there in the planets.. Mars, Mercury & Pluto is an absolute little fucker & it’s my 1st House. Also, and I didn’t know this till Marval told me, there’s a strong reason for me to be called 7 in my chart!! I need to watch the zoom video again to tell you what it is.. But it’s there! Can I just say how safe I felt with Mr Rex and how entertaining and understandable he makes having this work done.. we are friends & it’s a chilly Friday evening so I didn’t ask him to do his USP social media #ShirtlessAstrology but I do know how hard he works for that incredible bod & I’m going to be taking a leaf or 12 out of his book. For 2023.. Full set of Abs are on order! PS book your session NOW he’s a busy man and he’s (really) worth it!! #T4T * i may be embellishing some of what he said.. Substituting & joining the dots / stars with a creative flourish
