Is there a better way to end the hiking day, sitting in front of your tent with a (very) basic but hot meal and watching this?!?

I don't think so 😊

☀️ Wet Cyanotype Workshop ☀️

Or "the messy one". 😄

In this workshop you get to play with the fabulous process of Cyanotype by creating your own light sensitive material and making creative choices at the very start of the process.

In addition to objects like leaves and flowers we play with the medium Cyanotype itself by adding water, vinegar, bubbles, paprika and tumeric powder to the mix.

Discover a different side of Cyaontype, which not necessarily is a classic deep blue image.

Jump into the creative possibilities of Cyanotype with me by following the link in my bio! Booking is through Eventbrite or you can DM me! 💙☀️💙

🌟 Cyanotype Toning Workshop 🌟

In the workshop we learn how to change the characteristic deep blue of your Cyanotype with botanical dyes and kitchen supplies.

No prior knowledge is necessary as we will go through the process of creating Cyanotypes from scratch and you will produce your own light sensitive material.

This is a fantastic technique to play with different colours and get to see a new side of Cyanotype.

Book through link in bio!

🌟Classic Cyanotype Workshop🌟

In this workshop we dive into the deep blue of Cyanotype. If you have never done Cyanotype before or are looking for a space to bring a new project to life, this is for you.

We start with preparing our light-sensitive material from scratch and go through all the steps to a finished Cyanotype. There is ample time for you to experiment and play with the process with all material being provided. The goal of the workshop is not only to go home with Cyanotypes created by you, but also with the know-how and confidence to start doing your Cyanotypes at home.

If that sounds like something fun to do, there is a link in my bio! 💙☺️☀️ Booking is through Eventbrite and you can find me there: the Cyanotype Hub by Tiny Skies or just DM me!

You all have been amazing!

It has been a fantastic adventure and I'm so grateful to have met all you wonderful people and impressive swimmers!

The Shiver Club will be closing by the end of August. Most of you might have seen that I'm going back to my roots as more and more photography content creeps into my social media and while I love my time with Green Gertie and all of you, it has all become quite a lot. Running one small business is challenging in this world, I think two might be madness :) Having said that, there is another reason for all of this: we are moving to Spain. Not just now, but by the end of this year and I have decided that I want to spend late summer and autumn swimming in the water instead of on Green Gertie. I'll be around for swimming, I just won't tell you what to do anymore...some of you might quite like the sound of that :D

Now, two important dates:

- last group session with Green Gertie: 6th of August (book through the website)

- Please join me and Green Gertie on the 29th of August for a Shiver Club send off, a little swim and a little fire :) It would be fantastic to see many of you there!

If you would like a last 1:1 to go over some things or need a pool training plan, get in touch as soon as possible and I will try to make it happen! And there are still many many Shiver Club swimcaps!

If you would like to stay in touch, which would be great, head over to @tinebarkmann here on Instagram, there will be a nice mix of swimming, art and living in Spain.

I have a new website as well: www.tinebarkmann.com and I do a Cyanotype newsletter. If you would like to be part of that new adventure and hear about workshop and things, write me a quick email to: tinyskiesstudio@gmail.com

I think that's all for now! I will see you all at the beach or who knows, maybe Spain...there are plans, but nothing ready to shout about just now. Stay in touch!

Tine and Green Gertie

PS: before anybody worries! Green Gertie has already found a fantastic new home she will move to at the end of August. I made sure that she will be looked after and fulfill her life purpose on Scottish lochs.

🌟Thank you 🌟
To everybody who made the effort to come and see 'Natur Einsamkeit'! For chatting with me and sharing the Cyanotype-Love!

Yesterday, I had to take it all down. I took some time to just sit down and say goodbye 😊😢 and while I was preparing the prints that found a new home, I had some time to reflect over the last two weeks...what a ride!! I mean, I didn't know this city was full of cyanotype-enthusiasts!! I absolutely loved the taster sessions and the workshops! I basically moved in upstairs @leith_makers for the last two weekends 🤣 so many of you came to visit, so many of you created, sometimes their first ever, new cyanotypes, I had so many lovely chats!

Can we please do it all again??

This might be on the dramatic side, but I was not ready to take it all down yesterday!!! (Obviously, I had to anyways 😆) A massive shout out and thank you to @catgordonillustration !! I could not have felt more looked after and if you ask an emotionally overloaded little artist how they are, you'd better be prepared for the answer! Cat always was, always an open ear and a solution at hand! Thank you! If you are considering putting work out there, maybe like me for the first time, Cat and @leith_makers is the perfect place to start!

What an amazing start to 2026! Now spring is here, summer is coming, I'd say the perfect time for more Cyanotypes! Let's create, Edinburgh 💙☀️💙
