Some of my favorite frames from In Between, a short film written and directed by @brent.morris

Based on Brent’s feature-length screenplay, we shot the short as a proof of concept for feature development. It’s just beginning its festival run and has already picked up Best New Mexico Short Film at the Santa Fe International Film Festival!

Always great working with a small but mighty crew. We shot this one on location in Gallup, New Mexico, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here.

Shot on @reddigitalcinema RED V-RAPTOR X on @nisiopticsusa

Starring: Robbie Ayers, Ryan Begay, DezBaa, Nya Simone, and Addyson Wolfe.

I want to thank my amazing collaborators on In Between, a short "proof of concept" film we made this past weekend in Gallup and the Navajo Nation. It was beautiful and inspiring to see my team of cast and crew pull off small miracles. I hope to be back soon with the full feature film. #nmfilm #indie #grateful

Thank you so much for all the donors, it means a lot to me that you gave me the chance to make a film. There are more people that donated to the film so thank you for the pledges. Rewards to pledges will be send out when we have a draft of the film, so excited.

From a summer @sundanceorg short film masterclass at the beautiful @chicagoculturalcenter in 2024 to pitching @cloudandbunnyshortfilm in the same theater 3 months later.

And now 2 years later, our team is screening our film in the very same theater in partnership with @rm.19productions who have been incredible mentors for us.

We have come full circle and now we’re sharing our journey to making this film from concept to production and everything in between (funding, script reads, on set experience).

RSVP to this event in my bio link next Thursday as @porsha_shanese and I share our original pitch, the full movie, and a Q&A!
