🎬 Acting in English is back and we’re so happy to welcome a new group into the studio.

We started Week 1 with monologue work coached by Mike Cater exploring the text, making clear choices and bringing each piece to camera.

This course is open to actors internationally, and one of our favourite things about it is seeing how differently everyone approaches the work and how much can change over 8 weeks.

A big thank you to everyone who signed up and is currently training with us. We’re really excited to see how this group grows, takes risks and develops throughout the course. 🎭💙

Want to join us for a future course? Visit our website in our bio to see what’s coming up, and follow @franksteinstudio for the latest updates on what's happening in the studio!

Introducing David Hidalgo @davidhidalgomoreno and Zilya @itszilyaa as Nico and Jessica in "Go Home" a new Mayhem Movie!

Also, Nico's other wonderful students @marta_g_escote @nickym.0 @tinxod @canalaleandrarubi

The teaser will be out soon!
Huge thanks to everyone who is making this movie happen! More to come!

Set against the backdrop of modern-day Spain’s simmering economic strain, GO HOME zeroes in on the paradox of beauty and desperation haunting contemporary Barcelona.

In the vibrant heart of Barcelona, a troubled young artist spirals into madness in pursuit of his twisted vision. Unemployment, skyrocketing rents, and an influx of cash-rich tourists have squeezed Spain’s struggling middle class. Nico, a 36-year-old Catalan painter, is scraping by in his hometown of Barcelona when he loses his cherished studio to an American couple willing to pay double the rent. His landlord refuses to renew his lease. Forced into a cramped, chaotic roommate situation, he internalizes a growing resentment toward both the system and the wave of foreigners reshaping the city.

Teaching art classes in hopes of surviving, Nico becomes fixated on Jessica, a privileged Chinese student. Jessica has a crush on him and eventually invites him over for wine and to see her paintings. Her apartment becomes the stage for Nico’s first brutal robbery and murder. Driven by rage over both his personal humiliation and the wider tourist-fueled economy, Nico sees in Jessica’s blood not just sustenance but a grotesque artistic statement—a revenge manifesto made flesh. Her death sparks something horrifying: Nico begins crafting a new body of work using pieces of his victims to create his most macabre masterpieces.

🎬 Acting in English – Week 4: Mock Sides in Action 🇬🇧🇺🇸

This week, our actors took on mock sides pulled from real casting briefs—learning how to break them down, make bold choices, and bring authentic characters to life on camera.

📄 Why mock sides?
They mirror what you’ll see in actual auditions, helping you build the confidence and skill to book roles in English-speaking projects.

From first read to final take, we’re training for the real thing—one scene at a time.
