I LOVE NYC! ❤️🇺🇸

New York City was the first place I have been in the US back when I was just 21. I remember how special it felt for a tiny girl from a small town in Portugal to feel like she was at a movie and have her first violin jazz class with one of her inspirations.

This was my 5th time here and even though not all the times in this city went well, I had some amazing days last week! Can't wait to be back - NYC has a special unique vibe! ✨

***
1: The clichê photo at Times Square

2: Travelled to the 70s at @twahotel in JFK airport

3: One of the best people in NYC, that made my days more fun and happier: @sandysilverberg.music (also one of the people with more patience: he got to hear me practicing double stops and weird high pitches on the violin for hours... 😂).

4: Before jamming at @tiopepenyc

5: Specialty coffee at vintage piano at @fivefliesss

6: Espresso at @tinydancercoffee & *the* tiny (wannabe) dancer

7: Everything bagel. A classic.

8: After my @groupmuse show with my friends on the subway. It was a crazy day, but it ended up in a great way. Music connects people! ✨

9: Met a Portuguese guy that told me he found this lovely old violin. #TugasEverywhere

10: Jamming at @smallslive - always go there!

11: Lucky girl with a full row of seats. Practicing some chords #BecomingAJazzCat

12: Started my birthday with coffee, a blue hat and cool plane knowledge by @mike_n_victor 😎

13: Coffee tasting at @counterculture.coffee

14: With the great @charlesmcpherson1 after his jazz concert at @jazz_cafe_dizzy

15: What's a "tornado coffee"? 😅

16: Glad I got to hang out a bit with one of my talented and musical friends @_ianjesse 😉

17: Jam session at @pennyjosuptown

18: Pilates class at the first studio of Joseph Pilates @nice.and.tall

19: NYC being NYC...

20: Tiny bananas!!

Did you know there is a hidden pizzeria, coffee shop & bar all within the 50th Street subway station?

Walk to the downtown 1 station on 50th and Broadway and you’ll enter a little corridor with the three spots

🍕 @seenoevilpizza is a Michelin Guide pizza spot serving up fresh and unique pies with an old school pizza vibe. Get their famous Hell Pie

🍹 @nothingreallymattersbar is a cocktail bar with a ton of unique drinks and cool disco vibes. Great date spot!

☕️ @tinydancercoffee Dancer is a coffee shop with espresso and matcha drinks + delicious pastries

This is the perfect hidden spot in Midtown and you’ll impress anyone you take here!

Another NYC trip in the books!

Ragtime: 10/10 - they deserved those Tony's. Probably some of the most crying I've ever done watching live theater.

Every Brilliant Thing: 10/10 - I knew nothing about the show (other than audience participation), and wow, what a powerful message to a show. I'm not very familiar with Mariska, but wow- what a performer!

And I met Nicole Kidman at the Hudson Theatre 💁‍♀️

Somewhere between a slice, an espresso, and a cocktail, New York got its ring.
