For the longest time, my favorite props were a mirror, and my Converse😌😅

I remember the day I got my first camera. It was my 18th birthday. My dad usually sends me large packages in the mail for my siblings and I for Christmas and birthdays and whatnot. I remember my dad really excited for this package and really emphasized on making sure it got to me safely. I cried when I opened up basically the perfect little amateur photographer starting kit. A Cannon EOSD6 and, not one, but TWO lenses! A tripod, a sizable memory card, and a really nice carrying case for it all! I was elated I could finally start my dream of photography, but I was immensely intimidated to say the least. I do recall many times my camera just sat in its case under my bed just waiting for me to get the courage to start navigating this piece of equipment. I wanted so badly to be able to just carry my camera and when the moment arrived, I could catch it. I had the ambition, just not the knowledge. I couldn't figure out how to make my camera produce what I saw and what I wanted the camera to see. I had to do a lot of sitting in my living room in front of my full windowed front door playing with settings to make sense of the functions of my camera. I'm still learning day by day and slowly learning more about myself and the personality my camera brings out. I cannot wait for you all to see what I see! Let's create!
