We recently visited @firstlightbooks and fell in love 😍 and here’s why:

The shop is located in central Austin so it’s very convenient for a lot of adventures. They have the most adorable kids’ section in the store where they host story time, author visits and much more. You can grab a beverage and hang out while browsing and supporting and independent book store! They’ve got coffee, tea, wine, beer and light bites.

Make it a whole afternoon and grab lunch and explore @tinygroceratx next door!

🚨 HEY LISTEN UP REAL QUICK 🚨

I’m speaking at The Business of Hospitality next Tuesday, 10/13, a one-day summit for Texas restaurant, bar, and hospitality pros, presented by @texasfoodandwinealliance and @heb

Sessions are looking great, with people from @sietefoods • @stillatx • @haihospitality • @suerteatx • @p_terrys • @tinygroceratx • @kerbeylanecafe • and many others presenting.

I’ll be speaking on the session about “Creators + Your Business”, sharing thoughts on how food and hospitality brands who are already creating their own content can work well (and successfully!) with content creators and influencers 💅

Expect honest talk from people running real businesses, plus good food and better company.

Tickets start at $25, and proceeds support TFWA’s grants for Texas food and beverage businesses.

Tuesday, October 13
St. John’s Studio, Austin
9 a.m.–5 p.m - my portion starts at 10:15 I believe
