Previous @89sound.art alumni @freelink0000 & @tipp.exe have returned to Struer to host a hands-on interactive workshop on the Teensy 4.1 microcontroller. Each participant from the current cohort got the chance to explore and create their own patches for the microcontroller – from grainy madness to ever evolving oscillators.

The two are currently working together under the name ‘link.exe’ and will be spending the next few weeks locked in their Sound Art Lab basement working on their improvised feedback teensy grain live set. We are excited to hear what sounds they will emerge with.

What happens when routing becomes composition?
link.exe is Jason Andrew Clark and Rheece van der Linde, a duo formed at 89 Sound Art School in Denmark through a shared obsession with building instruments from microcontrollers.
Their fully improvised performances treat routing and feedback as compositional material, developed through sessions at Sound Art Lab in Struer and their debut inside Bang & Olufsen testing facility.
Both are producers and DJs in their own right. Rheece runs a label out of Cape Town, with releases on Muakk and Juke Bounce Werk. Jason is a resident DJ at Treehouse NDSM and has built installations for CTM, Transmediale and Sonic Acts.

89 Sound Art School begins with a shift in attention.

For 89 days in the fall 2026 we opened the doors to a new and very special art school hosted at Sound Art Lab. We are so proud of the program and the participants who came from literally all over the world to listen, unlearn, reimagine and build together ✨

Here are some of the shared memories.
