John EB Nice caught up with TAZ The Devil during Open Mic Night at Brick Box Brewery in Tucson.
Originally from Ohio, TAZ explained that there is more behind his artist name than people might expect.

For him, TAZ represents the angel, while “the devil” represents what lives inside. That contrast between good and evil, positive and negative emotions, and different sides of the human experience has become part of the foundation of his music.

At the center of it all is a desire to understand people, encourage creativity, and use music as a way to bring people together.

“I wanna understand people for the way that they feel, even if it’s a negative emotion or a positive emotion.”

For TAZ, the music is about exploring those different sides of ourselves while creating something that can connect people instead of divide them.
